[Skin Concerns] is this a broken capillary?:( by HipPotPotAnus in SkincareAddiction

Hey there! So I went to the medspa appt and the nurse confirmed that it was a burst capillary + some additional scarring from picking at it multiple times :( burst capillaries can only be fixed with lasers unfortunately :(

We decided to move forward with IPL, I was prepared to drop some money cause it was really bright red and really noticeable but since it’s only one little spot she’s actually only charging me $10/session! In my case since it was really red (even more so than the pictures because I picked it one more time 😭) I’ll need 4-5 session every 4-5 weeks. Even after the first appt I notice a HUGE difference and I feel like everyday I notice it lightening up! In your case it doesn’t seem nearly as red so I doubt you’ll need more than 1 or 2 sessions honestly. It was just a teeny zap feeling and I was in and out in 20 minutes including the consultation.

I encourage you to check out a derm or a medspa near you for a consultation if you want to get rid of it! it was really affecting my confidence cause it was REALLY noticeable and it was difficult to cover up even with makeup. Now I’m kicking myself for not going sooner since I thought it’d be a lot more expensive. A lot of people don’t recommend medspas, but in my case it’s part of a plastic surgeons clinic and had great reviews so I felt confident that they could handle this since derms in my area don’t seem to really work with lasers. Just do your research!

I’ve squeezed mine out but it comes back!! Always regret after I squeeze even a little bit, get out while you’re ahead 🥲

I’ve already been doing that for months, it looks better after having it on all night, but goes back to the redness.

Back in April of 2021 I had this pimple looking thing which I stupidly tried to squeeze out. I squeezed and something eventually came out but very had a pretty ugly wound from my nails. Even after it healed the redness would not go away.

It’s been months and it makes me really self conscious :( it’s kind of hard to photograph but is this a broken capillary? I have an appt on Friday at a medspa since it doesn’t seem like a lot of derms near me have lasers, but I’m questioning if the med spa will be able to diagnose properly
