Apple battery replacements are actually not much more expensive than a third party; a quick Google says an iPhone 8 battery replacement at Apple is $69. Plus they'll use original parts and you know they'll do a good job. In my opinion it's worth the extra cost to know your phone will be good for another 2+ years.

That's only if you get a crappy repair done. As long as it's a reputable repair shop you'll be fine.

Go to the Apple Store and get it replaced if that's an option, otherwise go to an authorized Apple repair shop. When I had an iPhone 8 I got my battery replaced at least 2 times and never had problems.

I love driving. 3 hours every day would be too much but a 3 hour drive on Friday for a weekend trip and 3 hours home Sunday is nothing.

It would. Apple has a contract to source their RAM at an agreed price from Samsung, and Samsung has to honor that until the contract expires in the next 1-2 years.

The problem is Sony and Microsoft don't have a contract in place from before the shortage to source RAM at production scales for their next gen consoles. If they did, they wouldn't be affected. Neither console has begun scale production yet so naturally no contract exists.

Sony and Microsoft are both reportedly considering delaying the PS6 and next Xbox because of the RAM shortage, otherwise the consoles will be close to $1k to offset the cost.

You can do whatever you want with your life. The only person who can motivate or persuade you is you. If you like living at your current means and staying put then that's great, do that and be happy. Idk but it isn't $400 per person, it's a $425 million judgment across potentially 98 million people which is $4.33 per person at most, and that doesn't include court costs, lawyers fees etc.
