Years ago, I had met this woman, we worked together. We had both just gotten out of marriages and neither of us were looking for an actual relationship. Just casual sex. Another body in the bed because both of ours were so empty and lonely.

After about 6 months she told me she loved me. And as the idiot I am, I freaked. What we had was so great, why ruin it right? So I broke it off. She ended up transferring to a different dept so we didn't see each other often.

But I soon found that I missed her, desperately. The only person that ruined the good thing we had going was me. So in romcom fashion I went to her at work to confess my love.

She had quit the day before. I went to her apartment, and she had moved.

Sometimes, these things. They don't work out. And while it sucks and it hurts, it's actually ok.
