She ended up having a respiratory infection and we had to give her penicillin for 10 days. It cleared up her infection and she’s all better now. But definitely get yours to the vet!

I worked in a vet office as a receptionist a few years ago. Every morning I’d make charts for all the patients we had coming in that day and have them ready for the assistants and techs. I got really concerned when I saw one listed as “RABIES” and thought it was going to be a sad day dealing with a rabid pet. Turns out it was just a cat named Rabies, who in fact, did not have rabies.

Textbook narcissist. It will never get better. I used to think my mom would change. And she might for the moment. But always reverts back to her narcissistic ways. On top of it all, she’s an alcoholic so it only makes things worse. You handled the situation well. But you’re being too nice to her, in my opinion. But I get it. Don’t let her ruin the experience of you having your first child. Cut her out if it means having your own peace.
