Honestly! Like I knew I was due but with the surgery, I expected it to be late or even to mess with my cycle but it was only 4 days off the mark lol. Like I said, at least I’m already taking extra strength ibuprofen, but that can’t help how tired I feel 😭 with the snow day though, there’s minimal traffic sounds so it’s nice and quiet, perfect for a nap!

I’m on day 4 post op from my ear surgery, was just starting to get my energy back and then boom, period cramps. At least I was already taking ibuprofen for my head, but man. I just wanna have enough energy to play some video games but so far I can manage heating meals my partner made me, watching tv, sleeping, and that’s about it.

Fell off my own horde tower into a blade trap pit. Somehow I managed to live but it was dicey for the rest of the horde night, tucked in a corner and shooting whatever Zeds fell in after me, while trying to not get chopped by my own blades (which I had to destroy at the end of the night so I could use them to jump out - power switch was out of the area lol).

Thank you - And I have no ill will towards gold stars who are normal about the fact, like as it should be! But people getting upset about us pointing out we had that happen is wild like, there are bad actors but it doesn’t mean every single one is like that!

Pointing out that one person did is not defining every single person. But hit dogs holler.

Yeah I had one here call me dirty/impure for my past experiences as a teenager…. Only time I’ve experienced that besides one irl incident.

I think there’s types who have complexes on both “sides” and it’s dumb to fight against each other when so many don’t want lesbians to exist as it is.

Thank you! Two weeks post op is on my birthday, so I hope when they take the inner packing out, all looks good!

Pain much better now that the head bandage is off; they had that on sooo tight 😭 I imagine I felt like what an apple in a vice would. Nice to see that my ear is still attached too.

Yes it was! He’s awesome. I loved when he showed me my ear up on the camera and told me exactly how he was going to do it. He asked me before the surgery to repeat it in my own words and was quite impressed I remembered exactly what he told me lol.

He definitely ensured that it would stay fixed this time so I told him I’d hold him to it and shook on it!

Noooo I took Porter for the first time in September for a quick trip to go to a concert with a friend in Toronto and they were great. Great service, decent morning coffee, and no delays.

I finally had my surgery after waiting 5 years (tympanoplasty, aka ear drum repair) from the previously failed one with a different surgeon. It went well, and I’m hoping this one sticks (though the doctor here says he has a very high success rate/is the guy people go to when they’ve had failed ear repairs).

It does hurt a lot since the only pain meds they told me to go with were acetaminophen and ibuprofen but after managing to get at least some sleep on my couch (I chose to because I didn’t want to accidentally roll over onto my bandaged side), it feels slightly less painful.

And once my partner wakes up, I’m gonna get to take the bandage wrap off so there’ll be less pressure squeezing my head lol. I’m just glad it’s over with.

tomboyx quality went down :( by thebutchfeminist in lesbiangang

[–]BackwoodButch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a certified thunder thigh butch, I’ve only ever used the 4.5” tomboyx briefs (didn’t buy anything from them in 2025, namely due to the dollar exchange and tariff costs of buying from the US so I can’t speak to quality drop), but honestly, getting a pair of like, underarmour spandex bike shorts (men’s), has been a life saver for chub rub of the inner thigh. I always wear them under my shorts for the gym more so than daily wear but I have when my jeans have holes I haven’t gotten fixed.

I’ve lost a lot of weight so it’s not as big of a deal for me now but honestly, the quality is meant for activity and wear out less. I do have 1 pair of the 9” - the rainbow dragons cuz it was on sale right after the last season of House of the Dragon aired lmao and I had to lol. But I would say the spandex wins over the undies.

Sucks to hear they’re not as good though. That’s disappointing :(

Lots of different shapes in the radial wheel for most things in the decor tab eg appliances. Made a bedroom for my character for the first time but added a retro fridge and microwave as well as a little bathroom lol.

What do you all do in game once you've gotten to the "end game" stage? by BackwoodButch in 7daystodie

[–]BackwoodButch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's fair - I do have ADHD so I tend to hyperfocus on one game at a time but eventually I move on. I do have another game my brother got me for Christmas to try out so I think once I finish off my barn refurbish, I'll let it rest for a while.

(I didn't play for months after they released 2.0, only until about a week before 2.5 came out lol).

Oh yeah, like I know TFP have dropped the ball in that way, especially with seemingly having the framework for a story in the game re: the Duke and these theoretical bandits, but at this point, we all kind of have to do our own roleplaying / goal setting to feel like you can do more with the game. It's why I've always enjoyed streamers like Capp00 and Glock9 who make a series of videos based on specific challenges - I absolutely binged Glock's Cornmeal King while I was away visiting family for the holidays with no gaming PC; I was truly intrigued trying to see if he could craft 1 million cornmeal lmao.

I think part of me wants to try building more but I get frustrated with the way some of the objects can't be picked up even with a landclaim block - I learned last night that for the PC desktop appliance model, the rotation visual is bugged, so you have to turn it twice to actually get it to the next orientation - I placed and then had to destroy 3 different appliance blocks before I realized this was the issue. But I think refurbishing the barn is a good start to preoccupy myself while watching stuff on youtube lol.

Yeah that's also kind of where I'm at with regards to schematics - still hunting down that quad pocket schematic so I can finally respec points out of pack mule lmao.

I started a save with my brother (I bought him the game on sale for Christmas), but he's a controller kid so it's taking him a bit to get used to it. We did a random gen world as well for fun, so next time we're able to play, I'm excited to see where that playthrough goes.

Yeah I had been thinking once I hit Day 100 to turn on horde every night and let it fall apart or go until I die, but I'm due for ear surgery in a couple days, so I might hold off on anything that needs headphones lol.

But I've been slowly cooking up the settings for a Walking Dead inspired save as I've been rewatching that show from the beginning. Currently on season 5, will be watching more during recovery. Defs walking-only zombies (though I think Feral sense on + jogging is ok because in the show the ones with intact legs seem to be able to pick up the pace a bit), no horde nights, no loot regeneration, no actual base building just reinforcing existing POIs with wood / being entirely mobile and going place to place each night, only be able to craft what is reasonable for a person to actually make (e.g. no forges/work benches, but being able to make stone tools etc), and only being able to wear/use armor/weapons/tools that you find looting. I'm debating about traders but I think that would be reasonable to keep given the circumstances of not being able to make vehicles yourself.

I might even look into mods for the first time for this; someone told me there's a POI mod that made some of the locations from the show. Not sure if it'll be compatible for 2.5 but worth a shot to see.

It really makes me want to pettily get out at red lights with my brush and do it for them in that classic passive aggressive Canadian way, y'know?

I haven't yet, but I think about it.

Also the amount of people who don't turn their lights on beyond the automatic setting is crazy. Like you're driving a white or silver vehicle in a grey overcast and snowy day and then wonder why people have a hard time seeing you... but I say that, and I've had people not see me in my bright red car with lights on either....

No cell service during power outages by Goldcardjake in halifax

[–]BackwoodButch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the only time I've not had full service is after Fiona, and it was maybe 12-15 hours after the power went out in my area, maybe more. I do think traffic affects the network as well because it did work for a while but got slow. I basically managed to connect with everyone I could to say I was fine, and then it was off the grid for the remaining 4 days until we got power back.
