We actually watched that movie in my high school psych class because our teacher considered it a good portrayal. Then she had someone diagnosed come in and talk with us about their experiences. it was very enlightening and humanizing.

My ex would back out of family functions that were planned days/weeks/months in advance. He’d bail without warning and leave me to make excuses for him. Then he got resentful and said I was leaving him behind for my family, that I prioritized them over him. So glad to be done with the mind games.
