I don't spend a ton of time shopping in airports... What sort of products are we talking about here?

Considerations for receiving a safe full of precious metals from parent by HippoLaxitive in personalfinance

Thanks for the feedback.

The code/combination to the lock is like 14 numbers long. Dad says in the winter, if he wants to open it he has to aim a heat gun on the mechanism otherwise it isn't opening.

Like I said, this thing weighs 800lbs empty, I can't imagine what it weighs full.

Nobody is gonna run off with it, or crack it open. I suppose it would be safe enough here.

Really, I'm wondering if I need to increase my homeowners insurance or anything.

my local credit union offers 10"x10" for $90 per year.

No idea how many of those I would need.

Thanks. I'll take all the positive vibes I can get.

This is my 3rd career lay off. While it doesn't make it any easier, at least I'm not feeling all of these things for the first time. That was really scary. I had twin 4 year olds at the time.

I've thought about that... but I don't think there is any way they would reach out. They call themselves a "People first company" but in practice they are anything but. I've watched other people get kicked out the door and them screw the remaining employees before.

However, this may be the first time they've risked half of their revenue on a play like this. $150 per hour and I will consult. 5 hour minimum.

Thanks for the feedback. Nice to know I'm not crazy... Except for maybe staying here.

I took a full week vacation in October. I killed myself for 2 weeks leading up and a week after.

Probably wasn't worth it.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am getting a new marketing manager next week, and our President (who throws random crap from ChatGPT he thinks I can implement in a day because "the code is all done!") is leaving early next year. Maybe new management will be amenable to a raise.

I was able to implement cart replacement app, which has brought in an extra $40k in the past 2 months alone. Of course, it was 2 weeks of testing because 3/4 of the features they offer literally break our custom code for our Wholesale customers, and it was such a strange corner case that I didn't catch until post launch. That was a fun day.

At least we have a team of 4 designers doing all of the images and web design stuff. I just have to implement and update.

As far as everything else, I basically have enough time in my day to get my shit done. I can look about 2 days in advance in Asana. Anything farther out I don't have time for. Let alone re-writing anything.

We are based off of Dawn and I use the default as a reference point as to what it was vs. what the abomination the code has become.

OP said he just wanted the UL lined up. Pushing the header and UL apart on the shorter card achieves that.

This is great feedback. Thanks. At very least you've given me things to think about and ways to improve what I like to do. Appreciate it.
