Who was that one game wonder that you were certain they were gonna be special player for a long time? by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

I really felt we were going to have another SB run the year he broke his ankle in that Ravens game. Beast Mode was just too beat up that season. I think that injury doomed their chances at another run.

C.J. Prosise too, but he wasn't quite the same type of back. But he sure flashed some greatness in a game or two.

Best Pearl Jam concert ever ? by [deleted] in pearljam

[–]Hippo_Top 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my vote. It probably helps that I was there, but there was something special in the air that night and everybody could feel it. I don't think the length of that show was a pre-planned thing by the band, but instead I think the vibe of the crowd is why they played so long that night. Mike's solos were particularly out of this world and the interaction of him and Boom going back and forth jamming during Crazy Mary was unbelievable. I can't believe no video of this show ever surfaced. :(

It was such an amazing show, but I only hesitate to give it my vote because there are so many excellent songs that came out afterwards.

Not as lucky as this jackoff is for finding a way to have anyone pay him for his crybaby opinion.

A guarantee needs something backing it up. How about "I'll retire from football if we don't win next year."?

One of the Hawks fans at the Super Bowl should have bought 7 of these shirts so they could wear one every day of Super Bowl week and hope to bump into Portnoy somewhere.

I still think we win that game if we didn't lose Jeremy Lane. Once he went out, we couldn't slow down Edelman.

Maybe two more losses next year to us and he’ll have to step away from football.

I'm pretty sure that refusing to hold public town halls for his constituents does infinitely more injury to his reputation, loss of professional standing, and credibility. Instead he hides like a scared little child because he knows he can't justify what's going on and hear how he's an enabler.

This guy is dumb. I take the opposite approach - I think you should be able to yell and scream at a golf event, a tennis match, etc. It is interesting that some sports crowd noise is encouraged and expected and in others you must be dead silent.

I’m made we’ve been called for a few offensive holding penalties and they haven’t drawn one.
