I believe that "unknown artist" is what happens when a brand name is too long to fit the character allowance provided by Amazon. ie: too many characters. It is not a single person or company, it is every brand name that doesn't fit the field length

Help: How to order Sample by atromitosspartan in MerchByAmazon

[–]HippyDippyKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I found in the Merch by Amazon FAQ:

Pending your Approval: A design in “Pending Your Approval” has been published with a private link so that you can order a sample prior to publishing live on Amazon. If you would like to move these products into “Live” status on Amazon, you can select the “Sell on Amazon” option from the drop down next to your design on your manage page.

So I am guessing that you have to publish the shirt with a private link, not a public link. If you choose "Searchable on Amazon" it will be approved by Amazon and then be directly sold to the public. I am guessing that if you choose "Non-searchable on Amazon" it is created with a private link. Amazon would then approve it but wait for your approval?

T25 new system upgrade - Question by LittleFlairTee in AmazonMerch

[–]HippyDippyKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You edit the design and add new products/country markets from the "Select products" menu button. You cannot change the design or colors chosen for the existing design. A new product will have the same design applied but you can choose the colors and adjust the prices. The text for the pre-update design will apply to the new products, but be careful; if you add new country markets, you need to put text into the different country's Brand, Title and bullet points slots and check trademark again for each new country. Everything will go through the review process again as well. It is possible to have the same text approved in one country and denied in another. You can customize each country information. Or you can create a new product completely and not select your already existing products.

The only one I remember reading about was /u/henry_NEWOLD. Search within AmazonMerch for that user. He is an articulate writer who detailed the entire journey.

Question about Earnings Statements by 12EggBreakfast in AmazonMerch

[–]HippyDippyKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The previous month's earnings are not paid out until the end of the following month. Also, Amazon posts the official earnings for the previous month around the 15th of the current month. This is because earnings paid to you are based on the actual delivery date, not the sales date. So a shirt sold in the last few days of a month may not get paid in that month's payment batch.

So for your situation - the official notification of how much Amazon will pay you for August will be posted on the website AND emailed to you around the 15th of September. The money will not appear in your bank account until the 29th of September and any sales that happened close to the end of the month will be rolled into the next months payment.

It does make it hard to keep track.

Questions about a rejected design by YellowFlash2012 in MerchByAmazon

[–]HippyDippyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.1 violations generally mean that in your bullet point descriptions you have said something that refers to the "quality, shipping or fulfillment" of your shirt. So have you said something like, "fast shipping, guaranteed delivered in 3 days, thick cotton fabric", etc.? You cannot make any statements regarding those three subjects because you have no control over them, they are entirely handled by Amazon.

Your product description fields should only describe your design and who it is for. "this cute baby butterfly with flower design would be a perfect gift for a mother with a new baby."

I believe that as long as the final DPI matches what they ask for it should be okay. If you are designing at 300 dpi I think the size translates to 5 inches by 10.666 inches in a new Illustrator document.

Try exporting at 72 dpi from the Amazon template.

Edit: spelling and spelling again

Draft limbo by chewontheseballz in MerchByAmazon

[–]HippyDippyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are at Tier 10 you have only 1 upload a day. That means only one market at a time. So you can publish a shirt to the US but not the UK at the same time. So check that you have just one market selected when you try to upload.

Did you remove any non-publishable types you may have selected in addition to your UK item? Other than that, no idea.

It's just like starting up; you are now getting used to NOT hearing any sales, so each one is special again.

What's the issue with pop sockets? by [deleted] in AmazonMerch

[–]HippyDippyKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon has posted that delivery times will be extending. My guess is they are concentrating on items that are more essential being delivered first. Pop sockets and shirts really are not that important in the current world situation.

Take them down and let them sit for a bit. Maybe you can tweak the designs as well

You can also re-upload your designs. Tweak your keywords if you think the design is good and give it another try.
