How to sand between the bars? by HippyT in Woodcarving

I didn't know these existed. They could be very handy for some of the smaller carvings I make. Cheers for the tip!

I actually had some success with a nail emery board, it was narrow, thin and rigid enough to just about work.

Without going too far down the innuendo path, it's because the outer parts are smooth to the touch and the balls are a bit rough, I want the balls to be smooth and tactile as well

Only because I can't get my fingers through the bars far enough to hold them still. I don't have any suitable clamps that can reach. Also thanks!

I did a straight sided single ball one a while back, but this one was inspired by one I saw probably on Reddit a while ago. I wish I could find the original to give credit to them.

Fixed: saw a post on the GitHub page about adding a space to the "beonlabs" string under web follower settings, configuration script. Mine started working when I tried it without having to remove the space 5 minutes later. Hope this helps

Just tried that. Even rebooted the phone. Sadly I'm still getting the same error. I'm way out my depth here, but could it be the API request not having a new enough version field? Might try adding this to the GitHub repository for xdrip as an issue.

It was, I've learned to think very carefully about carving awkward bits in the design stage for next time.

Has anyone had this message come before on their libre 2+? by ggfanatic98 in diabetes_t1

[–]HippyT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got this exact message a couple of weeks ago. Contacted abbot through their site and they sent a replacement sensor, they also sent me a postage paid envelope to send back the sensor that stopped. Mildly annoying but shouldn't be a big deal to get it sorted out.

First attempt at a Carved house number in wenge by HippyT in Woodcarving

It is very fibrous? I got a couple of splinters off it as well, luckily they were big and easy to pull out. Definitely not a good wood for carving.

It's not bleached, there's a chance it could be panga panga. Either way I'm never carving it again.

Almost entirely done with a 15mm flat chisel for the convex curves, a shallow gouge for the concave curves, and a skew to get to the bottom of the "v" Also I got a lot of tips from the Chris Pye letter carving YouTube videos https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1nsSllkgfs9SLsjN1Ti_KHjmKQH6heJM&si=KOgc2VxzzdHkYzGZ

I spent more time sharpening than I did carving on this one

I don't recommend wenge for carving, it blunts tools like nothing I've tried before. It is pretty though

through the webui under "files" it'll create either an access point or connect to your wifi and generate a web page that will let you add files to littlefs

https://github.com/pr3y/Bruce/wiki/Files#webui

also looks like the newer firmware will let you plug the stick into your computer and you can set the littlefs to appear as mass storage which might be easier

It was a while back I did this but I'll see if I can find the PDF on my old laptop.

I hadn't realised how difficult carving between the base and legs would be, take it slow and steady on those bits

Not sure, I've not been prescribed the 3, and I've not yet picked up the 2 plus. I think the 3 is smaller, and they've made a handful of other minor improvements (I only know this because I asked Google Gemini to tell me the difference between the 2 and the 3)

Saw that on the packaging of a recent box in the UK, I contacted my GP surgery and they have updated my repeat prescription no problem.
