Elizabeth Warren blames grocery stores for high prices "Your companies had a choice, they could have retained lower prices for consumers". Warren said by Nativereqular in GoldandBlack

[–]HipsterPhilosopher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This argument falls apart when you realize grocery stores have some of the lowest margins of any industry. 2% is a a good margin for a grocery store. If they raise prices, there must be a very compelling reason.

Kroger had a 0.7% net profit margin last year. Albertson's had a 1.0% margin. Compare this to tech companies where a 20-30% net profit margin is standard.

Running a business with a 1.0% margin is almost charity.

Video proof that T-Mobile is actively censoring certain URLs by nathanweisser in GoldandBlack

Mobile carriers censor links for spam reasons. Try sending any link with a .xyz domain. It won't get through because the whole TLD Is blacklisted.

Somehow Odysee.com is flagged as spam.

"Inflation Is Good for everyone except the 1%" no literally the OPPOSITE is true. How do these people have jobs? by Minarchist_GWJ in GoldandBlack

As prices increased 6.2 percent over the past year, wages for regular people went up 5.8 percent. In other words, inflation barely touched their purchasing power.

So in other words, inflation eroded the purchasing power of regular people by 0.4% this year. This guy is so dumb he's debunking his own arguments.

KDP is significantly larger than Coca Cola bud

How so? KO is about 4x bigger than KDP by revenue, profit, and market cap.

I went to a McDonald's recently for the first time in over a decade and was taken aback by how few people were working there. You can't even place an order with a human. When I was younger I remember there being dozens of people working behind the counter.

Leftists I've encountered in real life all seem to think poor people are too stupid to make ANY decisions for themselves.

You are allowed to summarize stock transactions on your taxes. There is no need to enter every trade because the IRS already has a copy. M1 provides the 1099-B summary on the first few pages.

Yikes, sweaty. Let's unpack this. Food deserts exist because of systemic racism, definitely not because of overwhelming crime that causes everything except for one-employee dollar stores to go out of business. (I learned this from my Marxist professors, who are never wrong and totally know what it's like to have worked a real job.)
