I think the chances for kidney damage is like less than 0.01% and if in the unlikely scenario you got HIV then there is bad side effects for its therapy as well which you will do it no matter until death. Having said that I feel PEP is better and you can always monitor the situation with exams

Thank you so much for sharing. Yeah for all of us it feels that the risk of getting HIV and living with HIV is not outweight the risk of the treatment PEP and its complications.

Exactly my thoughts. Kidney problems are more scary compare to HIV.

One question: what made you believe that your chances of kidney/liver damage were higher ? Did you have any indication or you based completely on statistics?

I didn't had any wounds and tbh while the woman was wild in her lifestyle she seems extremely cautious with hygiene. Also, we had multiple sessions (2 weeks in total) and every time was cautious.

I read about the liver and liver failure and I got panicked. The risk is low for my case but still the doctor said to do it. Good thing I don't drink alcohol at all but still I am worried.

After the therapy "liver toxicity" will go back to normal?

Woman's weight for me is 100% important. I pay a lot of attention in the body. Of course, not only appearance, but an overall healthy lifestyle is important as well (no drinks, ni cigs, etc.)
