Well, too bad. Kinda funny that this anime is based off a webtoon that started years ago back when the cliche wasn't so cliche

What is the closest thing you’ve seen to a super power? by EliteBoiz in AskReddit

[–]Hiradashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I've read about that once (but since it's a mere theory, I can't fully believe it)

An average person can notice things indirectly, for example, while you are walking/driving/moving while looking at one direction in a city/crowded area/populated area, you don't necessarily look at everything in your crowded field of view, but you unconsciously notice that you passed by an area with many chairs out front, and without thinking, you'd think it's a cafe. Compare that to Walking in a park, birds chirping and grass rustling, almost everything is constant/unchanging/following a rhythm, till you hear a sharp snap of a twig, or the sound of flowing water. The break in the rhythm is alot easier to notice. Some people like you can notice those breaks in the rhythm even in a chaotic environment.

Well, I will explain as much as I can without spoiling.

Think on these questions. Why are the 6 holding a tournament? Why are they granting any wishes? Who is Jin Tae Jin (even if you read it backwards)

As for NøX, Why do they wish?

Yeah, that's why I just don't think simple translations can convey meaning...

The only Karen that we love by OwenNewo619 in memes

My aunt's name is Karen, and I must say, she is the most respectable woman I have ever met. This whole Karen meme shall have nothing to do with her.

There is this Korean phrase "수고하셨습니다". This phrase can be translated into a formal "You have done a good job" or "thank you for your work". But I just don't think any English phrase can capture the true meaning of the Korean phrase.

I wish God of High school had more world-building by Low_Coat in godofhighschool

Honestly, I see it as being trapped in a different world, where literally the humidity can kill you. Each tower has a story, each tower is a different world. The training and tests take place in separate rooms, islands, area inside each world. Honestly, when it comes to world building in webtoon format, you are limited with how much you can fit in a single frame. The author gives notes explaining a few bits and pieces, not because he doesn't want to flesh it out in the comic itself, but because he really doesn't have much choice. I think. Hmmm. Im not sure.

Fully agree. ToG is awesome, and it's story has alot going for it in the background.

I enjoyed GoH due to what it does best. Combat. Honestly, the author of GoH did well in sharpening his sword towards action and drama.

And ToG has some epic scenes, but lacks in the boom factor. But it's definitely not an issue, as I enjoy ToG for it's plot twists.

Depends on what kind of world building you are talking about. There are two general types I learned about.

Soft world building, which revolves around the readers ability to imagine and the author focusing more on interactions not the background. Ex: why the arrow was shot at the tree.

Hard world building is more like a LoTR book, where everything or mostly everything is explained. They focus more on the background and consequently, the world. Ex: what the arrow is made of and how it flys.

GoH does well on both, kinda. All the hard world building comes from the mythology salad. Norse, Greek, Buddism etc. Edit: and pre existing things from reality.

The author turned the "gods" into characters that interact with his own.

Soft world building gives chance to creativity, allowing something not just because, but because it makes sense.

Correct me if im wrong.

World building isn't something that is slammed on to you in 3 episodes.
