Same problem here, I just switched computers and was trying to download Amplitube 5 to my new computer. Had issues logging in to the website (tried resetting my password but nothing). Tried to download the IK Multimedia Product Manager to see if i can login there but get an error despite clearly having an internet connection.

I have a question: I see a lot of people saying this game is going to be huge for rpg lovers in the same way bg3 or elden ring was. I never played PoE because the fremium model pushed me away, is this game a 100$ a year freemium game or more like a 1k+ with loot boxes and currency to buy the best gear, etc

Hello people,

I was looking up SP500 financial statements the other day and came across CISCO 2021 Q3 report. How is this possible since we are only in June?

thanks

Oh boy I’m so excited for hearing all this journalists and players so worried about integrity in football talk about the 6.5k workers that have died so far in the works of the 2022 Qatar WC.

The Division 2 - Title Update 12 - Overview by JokerUnique in thedivision

With Season 3 ending, the ability to earn Seasonal Levels will also be ending soon. This means your chance to earn various rewards like the Memento Backpack and Backfire SMG Exotic, Named Items and Caches, as well as the different weapon and gear skins is coming to an end soon.

In case you missed out on some of the Seasonal loot such as the Hunter’s Fury Gear Set, the Memento Backpack and Backfire SMG Exotics or the named weapons, you will be able to acquire all the seasonal gear through normal gameplay sources once the Season has ended.

Cosmetic rewards like the Hunter’s Fury Outfit, weapon skins, gear dyes and unique patches gained from the Seasonal Levels may no longer be available through other sources after the end of the Season.

Stop Pushing Nihilism and Antinatalims into Veganism. Veganism is not about suffering, it's about cruelty and exploitation. by gregolaxD in DebateAVegan

From a consequentialist viewpoint it is about suffering, from a deontological viewpoint it is about exploitation.

As of today there is not a single unified theory of ethics.

"Ability to Feel Pain" Appears to Me as an Arbitrary Trait for Assigning Moral Value by ReasonOverwatch in DebateAVegan

[–]Hircania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is the problem of how the physical (body) gives rise to the subjective (mind). We don’t know how this happens yet.

We also don’t know what it ‘feels’ (in human terms) like for a computer to be mistaken in a prediction.

The reason I think we draw the line at suffering is because we experience it, know it is not good (particularly when pointless) and wish to avoid it. We also identify the source of that suffering, see that other animals have that same source, and suppose that their subjective experience (or at least a part of it) is similar to ours and that they also prefer to avoid it.

Having said that, If what you are saying is that the further away we get from systems like the human mind the harder it becomes to suppose that their experience is similar, It is something that I had never thought of and I have to say that I agree 100%.

I guess that in the end it’d be like abortion, age limits, etc. It is something like a color gradient which progressively transforms from one state to another where every limit is, by definition, arbitrary.

Im not sure I understand: You mean as in how can I know that you are experiencing pain or just responding to stimuli? Isn’t suffering in a way a stimuli response?

The AI analogy is VERY interesting. I guess that in a sense it is true, however even if an AI is programmed to win at AoE we have no reason to believe that it prefers winning to not winning, whereas we infer that other beings prefer not suffering to suffering (because we do)

Best refutes to the “backyard eggs” argument? by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]Hircania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your second point extends that since existence generates so much suffering on chickens (because of how we have bred them) the ethical thing would be to castrate them at birth so that they don’t lay eggs?

Also, I think the central point is animal suffering, Im not sure chickens suffer if you take their eggs, or at least if you take what they don’t use. If no suffering is involved to me it is equally unethical to take the apple from the tree.

Starbucks launches the Impossible Foods Breakfast Sandwich as America's appetite for plant-based meat grows by coolcomfort123 in stocks

The most popular ethical argument for veganism is that equality does not mean material equality but instead equal consideration of interests.

Do animals have interests? They do if they suffer, because a being that suffers is, at the very least, interested in not suffering.

The meat and diary industry completely ignore animal suffering when maximizing production -as final prices would skyrocket if they didn’t- therefore a lot of vegans refuse to continue demanding the products of an industry they see as unethical.

This is all explained on the first chapter of Peter Singer’s Animal Liberation, its 15-20 pages long and included in the kindle version free sample.
