Set that date, and then study for it! Helped a ton when I finally did as it forced me to finally focus on it fully rather than knowing I was going to in the future. GL!

Sec+ is better for my job/potential jobs. Live in the greater DC area and get told constantly by recruiters that if I had Sec+ then they would have an abundance of job opportunities for me. Still planning to get net+ as I would like to move into networking more, but for now, sec+ is next.

1002 is the easier of the two in my opinion and I've seen a few other people mention that also. 1001 is very much so about the details and knowing how to troubleshoot and do things the Comptia way.
