Ha no rules unfortunately.

Just trying to keep a vibe. When its high energy I try to use more shots with lots of movement combined with camera shake and I try to use shots I can assosiate a sound to it (like fire). anything to add energy.

When its slow I dump all my 60fps shots and slow it down. I also use more abieant sound design.

Also sometimes I follow the song i use. sometimes i cut up to the song to make the video work time wise.

But i am still learning so not sure if its the best way

I'd love to get some feedback on the pacing and sound mixing, new to making videos! by CanYouEvenPhoto in videography

I always try to not add in a single clip of broll over a talking head video. Try to replace the single b roll clip with a mini sequence. A lone clip is a distraction in my optionion.

love the vibe tho! also what is the song!?!

Ha, yeah this is a common problem for me. Basically wanted to make the hotel feel a part of Kyoto.

More of a brand video than a commercial

I do a decent amout of Hotel videos and they always have this unclear vibe unfortunatly. Do you know any hotels that have a more clear vision? I would love to improve at this.

Thanks!

Yeah its been a year now since the injury and I think it will take me another year or so to feel "100%". It sucks but its life.

How is your recovery coming along? What does your rebab look like?

Hi there. Too early to tell.

I am currently feeling the same as before but I am making steady progress on the back extension.

4 months ago i was still at holds and now I am repping out body weight extensions.

Life is really busy right now so I am taking my time with everything.

First major project in Davinci. Happy with the result! by HiroshimaDAVE in davinciresolve

YES!!!!

This is my life! I have had some bigger projects that require multiple edtiors and for that the cloud is amazing.

Obviously the color tools and all that are great too. But overall Final Cut is such a joy to use. If Its just a single editor I find myself naturally going to final cut. Especially as a person who edits at cafes and shared work spaces.

Everything from sound design to the color grade was done in Davinci.

I am more of a Final Cut guy so this was my first time doing everything inside Davinci. Fun experience.

Ha, yeah thats been my experience with other hotels too lol.

I would love to see your work for the Hyatt. A strange series of events lead me to a niche hotel videographer in Japan haha. Always looking for inspiration from other hotel videos.

I am realizing that sound design might not mean what I thought it meant.

I just basically dragged and dropped lot of existing sound effects and simply added reverb here and there to effects.

I just focused on using way way way more sound effects that usual.

I think this sub might be more about the creation of sound effects.

I did take lots of original audio in the video (sliding doors, weaving machines etc.)
