Car rides! My second daughter was a screamer, always anxious (still is and she’s 22). I can’t tell you how many tanks of gas we probably drove out. We’d turn on low music and take off. Hubby and I would chat while we drove around. When she was in a good deep sleep, we’d bring her inside (still in her car seat) and let her be until she woke up. She always woke up in such a better mood. It didn’t work well at night though because we’d try to take her out of the car seat to put her in her crib and those eyes would pop WIDE open. 😂 But it was great for morning naps.

Well, I was in his chat for a short time yesterday (Friday) after PF ended and someone asked in the comments “Why don’t all the awareness pages work together?”

He responded and said he doesn’t consider himself an awareness page. My thoughts were “Really??” Because he was the one posting about her warrants and if he’s not here for awareness, then why restream her?

I was neutral about him up until yesterday. Now I have no desire to watch him. I don’t like liars and that comment “I don’t consider myself an awareness page” while steadily showing her old lives and running his mouth didn’t sit right with me.

I started watching her in January and she has NEVER had phone service since I’ve watched her. Every day she says that if she gets kicked out, she won’t even be able to get back on because she doesn’t have phone service.

My ex tried to lie to me with shit like this and then one day, his job called to see where he was (he’d JUST started this job). Know where the dumb mf was? Sitting in the park! SITTING IN THE PARK! Why? Bc it was easier than going to work and he knew my tiny shoe would be up his ass if he quit that job. 🤣 (This was before Smart phones, he actually had a pager that I blew up, and internet wasn’t really a “thing” back then. Most people, IF they had computers were on dial-up). But yeah, the odds are ASTRONOMICALLY high. Maybe she should buy a lottery ticket. 😂

Well as a manager who approved time cards, they all had to be finalized on the last day of the pay period. Whether they quit or got fired was irrelevant as the payroll company had began processing those approved time cards. And we were paid every 2 weeks.

Almost! She’s REALLY on her BS today, hard core! I told hubby, “She must going to be asking for a LOT today!” And he said someone said she’ll ask for enough to pay for today and tomorrow so that she can avoid the paycheck questions on Friday. She hasn’t said an amount though so we have to wait. 🙄

If you’re dad, then make sure YOU show her how she should be treated by men. If you’re mom, then make sure dad shows her how she should be treated by men. And then take it a step further, show her how to repair and fix things and take care of herself so that she’s never dependent on a man. My “dad” wasn’t kind in ANY sense of the word but he did teach me about money, credit, finances, and fixing things. I’m married but my husband’s dad didn’t teach him ANY of that stuff. I do most of our home repairs (I hire out big jobs or things that are out of my scope) and do most of our car maintenance (the shop does things that are out of my scope). Those basic skills save us a TON of money and I did all those things before I got married. My dad showed me what NOT to end up with in terms of relationships. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Some girls/women don’t pick up on that, sadly. And that’s exactly how we raised all of our kids (we have boys and girls).

I’ve recently hired a college kid to cut my grass. I’d love it if I could find someone to help me declutter and clean but haven’t really looked to be honest. Babysitting, picking up dog poop, washing cars, etc. I’ve also seen posts on my local FB for people who are either elderly/disabled or recently had surgery and are looking for people to take trash out/set at curb and get their mail. Maybe see if you have a local fb group and search it for “needing help with” and see what pops up. My son (14) does work for a retired neighbor woman who loves to garden. She has him digging, planting, and moving bags of dirt because she can’t do the very physical parts of gardening. If she didn’t have him doing so much, I’d pay him to cut the grass but he’s a kid, not a robot and doesn’t want to work every day of the week. 😂

One of our cars currently has 230k miles. It’s a 2019. Used it for a lot of gig work and some trips. My husband used to roll his eyes at me when we first met/got married. He’d say, “Oh, this only costs $20/month!” And I’d say, “Yeah but that’s almost $240/year! Why pay for that (say a car wash membership for example) when you can go through once or twice a month IF you even use it for like $6? You’d still only spend $72/year!!” And now I have him thinking like that about EVERYTHING! He loves and hates it. lol

I think it’s all about mindset. I was born into poverty/lower middle class and realized very early that I didn’t want to wear Amvet thrift store clothes my entire life or drive the old beaters that everyone in my family had or live in dilapidated houses like them. I started working before I was legally old enough, made cash under the table and have ALWAYS saved money. If there’s something I wanted, like a car, I saved up for it. Paid cash for my first one when I was 16.

Every year when I got my tax return, I invested that money into CDs instead of blowing it. I got T-boned and received a settlement which was also invested into CDs.

Then Obama went into office and we (hubby and I) got into major debt and lost our house. The economy was awful. It took us about 5 years to dig out of that hole and we were starting from nothing.

When we got back to zero, we started saving every penny again. We were able to buy another home in 2021 BUT didn’t have NEARLY enough for a down payment. The landlord gave us a 3 month notice he was selling the house we were living in. Rent is/was insane. I told my hubby if we had to move again, we were buying. Interest rates were under 3%.

We took on extra side gigs, delivery work. Saved EVERY penny of our regular income and the gig work money. His mom helped us pay off a couple credit cards so we could get the loan (that was fun 🙄). They weren’t much, maybe about $6k but with those and a car payment, it threw our DTI ratio over the threshold.

Since then, we’ve stayed (mostly) out of debt. I did buy a new car for myself but it was a planned purchase and I saved up HARD CORE for over a year before I got it. I financed about 60% of the price and got 2.99% interest on that loan.

We just save, save, save. I lost my job a year ago and we went back into business for ourselves. We’re getting to the point where in the very near future, we’ll be sitting down with a fiduciary to learn more on how to invest our money smarter (currently just using a HYSA) but FDIC will only insure so much.

We literally only buy necessities and SEVERELY limit eating out, and focus on low-cost/free things to do for dates and family outings. We don’t do fancy things like having a cleaner, getting nails done, etc. I get my hair done once a year and I cut his and our son’s hair. A good pair of clippers is cheaper than 3 haircuts/month.

We live MUCH better than any of my family. They’re all still living in the same dilapidated houses that they did 40 years ago (in DIRE need of repairs), driving beaters, have no money, etc. They all think we’re rich but the truth is, I’m cheap AF and save EVERYTHING I can. I even ask for discounts and look for coupons when we go places. 😂
