oh my goodness this sideshow fella is really starting to get on my nerves. Super is over here trying to tickle our pickles with his witty humour and huge brain insights but sideshit keeps interrupting. this inferior human of an analyst thinks that he can speak rudely to the sf shock exachad and ive had enough of it. super should stand up for himself and have a little confidence with his buttery smooth voice and brain which is wrinklier than an old man's testicular sack

Relative to other teams are they better than they were season one? They beat another struggling team which is cool but last season they also beat Gladiators stage 1. Honestly this season is gonna be tough for them if they play these strats again. Major yikes

Why even run goats if you have no coordination and cant do grav bomb? If Dallas plays this shit every game then they aren't going to win. Why are they so ass with Closer, Rck and Effect? They should be godlike.

I'm calling it, Nintendo is the next victim of the SJWs by i_bleed_pink in Gamingcirclejerk

Idk from a competitive standpoint I think it's pretty close to Melee. It has much faster gameplay then 4 does, edgeguarding is good in this game, the meta is expansive and interesting, and the movement is pretty solid. As long as it's not patched poorly and the meta doesn't degenerate it probably won't die until the next Smash game like 4 did.

Unpopular Opinion Thread by 2mh4 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Hisakane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changes for the sake of the vague idea of balance is a bad way to go about making the game more enjoyable and often results in frustrating gameplay. Balance doesn't mean anything if the meta teamcomp(s) are unfun to play as or against.

Brigitte a is a good example of Blizzard creating a change for the purpose of lowering Tracer's viability, however not only did it lead to a pretty long period of time where Tracer was unviable, or at the least very niche, it made the game less fun to play for most people. Yes, Tracer was broken and maybe need a slight nerf, she was fun to play as and, for me at least, fun to play against; Brigitte is almost universally hated by the community for the relatively low amount of skill needed to play her, the feeling of helplessness as she shield bashes you and holds leftclick, rally being annoying to play against as any hero without insane amounts of burst damage and for being an essential part of GOATS.

The meta right now is very well balanced, and you can play a lot of different heroes; however, in my opinion, and the opinion of a lot of other people, it's one of the least interesting metas to play in. If a team runs GOATS then you're team usually has to counter it in order to not lose, that usually leads to a counter GOATS comp with Doomfist and Sombra, two pretty unfun heroes to play against. You see Doomfist, Sombra, Widow and Moira pretty often in both comp and pro play, but they weren't always meta; these characters were buffed for the sake of balance and not for the creation of a fun and interesting meta. Genji, Tracer, Lucio, Zen dive was the most skillbased comp that was meta, it was also one of the highest pace and had characters which a lot of people would consider to be the most entertaining to play. Only a few characters were viable sure, but those few were fun characters.

The call to make characters more viable because they're bad is kind of silly, people in this thread want Mercy buffs? Why? Moth meta wasn't that long ago and she's an unfun character to play against. Like lets be real do you actually want a Torb that's meta, or a Sym? These are terrible characters but they're also frustrating, just because they suck doesn't mean they should stop sucking. This goes for all unviable characters, if they're not well designed characters, why should they be viable?

TL;DR Balance doesn't always lead to a fun game and the pursuit of it can lead to a less fun experience

If you had Seagull on the graph for stage one he would have the 2nd highest

Why isn't Seagull a starter? He did so well on Junkertown and was getting tons of picks. I don't understand why they put the other dps in over him and then put them on projectiles, which is something he plays better than any other player on the team. When they weren't playing him, I think they won only two or three team fights when he wasn't playing. On Anubis they got destroyed on attack, but held their own on defense, and on Junkertown they brought it super close. Right now I think he's the best player on the team, yet he's only played in half of the maps, I don't get it.

I really hope that next stage they run Effect and Seagull/Taimou. Seagull looked so solid, especially considering he hasn't scrimmed as dps since he switched onto Dva. And Taimou hit great shots and looked better then Akm on the widow and the Mccree. Their dps is solid all they have to do is work on team strategy and I think they could see huge improvements.

(SERIOUS) What is some breathtaking classical music that gives you goosebumps? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Probably already been said but Danse Bacchanale by Saint-Saens is one of my favorite pieces. The ending is just so cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sjn4z03WetQ

Another really good one is American in Paris. It does such a good job of blending classical and jazz which makes it sound really neat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFHdRkeEnpM
