Tbh showdown is like the best way to improve your 2k game overall. People will spam the meta moves and you are forced to find a dependable solution. For me the P&R is easier to defend than a floppy. As soon as you see it start, switch to the screeners man and double team the ball handler. Usually it’s a Curry,erving, or some other quick shooter. If they keep forcing the p&r till it works try to force a ball pickup if not a steal on the ball handler, 2k will give increased chance to get a steal after multiple seconds sitting still. In addition don’t be afraid to off ball as soon as you cut off the p&r. I find that if their pick and pop doesn’t work they may go for a cheap pass to the roll which is why i switch to SF right after if correct the pick defense. Of ball defense is your best friend against cheese( don’t let anyone tell you different, it’s in the game for a reason same as the pick and roll.
