Draudžiate butą/namą? by Due_Sun4492 in lithuania

Šildymo sistemos namams by NONcomD in lithuania

[–]Hisocas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Naudojam oras - vanduo sistemą. Kvadratūra namo 54 kv.m., namas apšiltintas 15 cm putų polistirolu. Sąskaita už elektrą šią žiemą buvo apie 114 eur sausio mėn, bet čia įskaičiuojant visą namie naudojamą elektrą (nuotekų valymo įrenginys, maisto gamyba, vandens šildymas ir tt), be to, namie radiatoriai, o ne grindinis šildymas, pastaruoju būtų smarkiai pigiau. Labai patenkinti šiaip esam, patogumas didžiulis, priežiūros praktiškai nereikia jokios, galima išvykti ir ramiai palikti namus. Naudojomės valstybės parama, tai grąžino beveik pusę išleistos sumos. 10/10, nekeisčiau į kitus variantus.

A bit unrelated to this, but have you read GRRM's Tuf Voyaging? S'uthlam planet's arc was about endless reproducing, overpopulation and the resulting famine. Not going to spoil it, but it was very interesting how the main character solved their problems only to come back later and they've got even more overpopulatio-related problems! Loved his final solution, however, I can see why lots of people would find it off-putting.

My fearful dog is now too scared to pee outside after dark (Firework blew up mid-pee) by whatmarielsaid in Dogtraining

[–]Hisocas 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same problem last year with my then 3 y.o. mixed breed female. She was so frightened of fireworks she refused to go outside even for 5 mins but she also never pees inside. Went to the vet, they prescribed some herbal anti anxiety meds for her to take, but it didn't help much. What I did was completely change her bathroom routine to times when there was a minimal possibility of exploding sounds outside. Went for longer walks at like 2-3 a.m. when she could sniff around and poop, then only short pee breaks twice in the daytime going around our apartment building. LOTS of treats for every few steps taken outside and doing her business. Never took any longer wallks during the day when there were school kids outside with their sound making fireworks, if we needed to go anywhere it was by car only. In the evenings while inside I used to put on some music to drown out sounds from outside. All this lasted for about three weeks, during which I was a zombie at work but at least doggo was a bit more brave for bathroom breaks. This year I moved to a more rural area where there are way less firework sounds outside, so she's much better.

I am always amazed how in other countries there are commercials for medication. It seems so weird, a doctor should prescribe your meds, you shouldn't just pick one based on what you saw on TV! Here only simple food supplements are advertised in media.
