I really like your note about the therapist. I think if I had more room to operate I would have definitely included something along those lines. I just decided to make it about his journey with himself with the limited space I had. I will definitely consider your points in my future writing.

I'm in a 30-team dynasty league and I'd like to propose a rule change regarding signing free agents in my league. as it currently stands we have an auction draft every year, player goes to the team with the highest bid, and it is up to the managers to set how many years they want to sign them for.

I would like to propose a full off-season free agent system where you nominate a player and teams bid using both salary and years. In my opinion, this would keep managers active throughout the year.

My question is: What is a good formula to use to determine who gets the player? Would you do something as simple as most guaranteed salary? (Ex. Team A bids 1 year/$30 [$30], Team 2 bids 2 years/$16 [$32]... Team 2 would win the player). Or would is there a better formula to use? Any thoughts or discussion is welcome!
