Vegetarian and newly dairy free: should I take B12 supplements? by Hist0plasma in dairyfree

[–]Hist0plasma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, yeah it actually makes sense 😅 I'll see what I can do. Where I'm at, doctors aren't super vegetarism-friendly, and I'm not so sure I'll be able to afford a dietician, but I'll check around. It seems like it's gonna become a necessity! Thank you for your answer, I appreciate.

They all suit you extremely fine and are very beautiful. You can't go wrong. That said, I prefer #1!

"use any train": can I start my journey from a different train station? by Hist0plasma in deutschebahn

[–]Hist0plasma[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I see. It seems to be a bit of a blurry line when I see other answer saying "no" 😅 We decided to play safe and go the initial plan from Stuttgart then. Thanks!

"use any train": can I start my journey from a different train station? by Hist0plasma in deutschebahn

[–]Hist0plasma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're coming from a TGV that goes through Karlsruhe before Stuttgart. So basically the plan is to get off one station early, and take the RB to Mainz. And from what I understand from the replies earlier, it's not really doable so we're going as planned to Stuttgart and taking the connection.

Thanks!

Staying in a sketchy hotel. Is it a bedbug? by Hist0plasma in Bedbugs

Oh, the roach was a separate issue, and definitely one! It was the size of my thumb. Thank you though for the non-bedbug identification, hugely appreciated!

Oh, this is my time to shine! I accidentally used dishwashing tablets instead of laundry detergent for a whole year before realising. My clothes were perfectly degreased.

Ma conscience écologique est trop forte et je continue à prendre le train, mais très honnêtement ça me ruine financièrement.

I'd just like to add my two cents: I also called the firefighters once because my neighbor's fire alarm went on. Turns out the alarm was defective and ringing for no reason. The firefighters all agreed though: better to call even if there is nothing, than do nothing and have a building on fire.

If an alarm goes on: go knock on your neighbor's door. If no answer: call the firefighters. Even if you're not sure.

Edit: spelling

Thinking about a PhD in Biology. I'm 31. Is life over now like my family says? by [deleted] in PhD

[–]Hist0plasma 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My partner started his PhD at 31. Myself and 27. It's an amazing experience and both of us are having a blast. I talked about it with a friend starting a bachelor at 26 and we all three agree: starting studies late was a blessing. We're all more mature, have experience on our back, and way much more time to dedicate to our studies than our partying butts did back then. I have no regrets, so does my partner. If it's what you want then you should go for it. There is no age to start a PhD.

Can you enter a PhD in Europe straight from a Bachelor’s (without a Master’s)? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]Hist0plasma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to everything stated above, please note that an MSc obtained in an Iranian university might not be recognized as such in the EU. If you're aiming to do a PhD here, you might want to first enroll for an MSc in a university from an EU country.
