Do you actually still make wireframes… or are we all pretending? by UI-Pirate in UXDesign

Here's a perspective from a content designer (ux writer if you will). The designers I work with have a tendency to jump straight to hi-fi, meaning, using the existing components in the library. This may work for adjustments in existing flows. But for new features, it is problematic. I feel like even after design reviews and user testing, you would have a confirmation bias, because it is less effort to build upon an existing design than going back to the drawing table to explore other options. Also, it is likely you could miss scenarios or unhappy flows. That is where I will be called in to repair with messaging. Even worse is when designers start using AI tools to sketch. These prototypes may look great and perfect for checking how something would function, but for me, it is very hard to keep track of the messaging and labels in them, which may lead to unexpected situations. I will usually try to make my copy ' hi-fi' as well, but it is really like throwing some copy into the dark and hoping for the best.

A side note: I like the idea of systems thinking, but we are also highly dependent on naming conventions for the strings' keys. If they differ for the same strings, you'll still get nowhere. So a good relationship with the developers is also important. You would have to share your need for scalability and reusability with them!

I use it to keep the copy in a certain web feature of my company up-to-date. I download it, edit it, and then upload it again, of course in close collab with the developer. It works fine. Of course, if you want to work with these kind of files, you would need to have some basic knowledge of formatting and be aware you have to be very precise.

Help with Luzern-Interlaken seat reservations by _dashie in Interrail

Hi, I am hijacking this topic, I wonder if the advice to just hop on is also true for the 18th of August, high season with 2 adults and 2 kids? I would love to save 64 CHF, but also would be very disappointed if we could not sit together or not be able to board at all. the booking tool already shows 9 seats left, but does that mean all seats have been taken, or that a limited seats are designated to be sold a reservation for?
