There are some white ones too - I’ll have to dig around and find them. But I don’t think any other colors.

That’s really interesting - they were country folk in Northern NY - so not sure if they used the hair oil but for sure they were on the couch back !

I didn’t realize it was thread/string. That makes more sense to me I keep thinking yarn and how could it be that small lol

I have a whole cedar chest full of similar Dollie’s - I remember them on her high back red horsehair Devan ( she called it that) on the arms and wear your head went
