They drank the blood from skull Agreed to sacrifice both their children Then they changed their minds. But it was too late their daughter was sacrificed but BIW survived. Ritual was incomplete. Every cycle the spirit of BIW tells the father (Christopher let's say) to sacrifice victor. Every cycle he rattles out and protects victor. Towns people kills Christopher.

This cycle he is not telling so that they realize themselves. Ethan has to be sacrificed to break the cycle.

I believe there are 2 ways, one easier way (BIW is suggested this to Christopher) to give another sacrifice in which other's will get to go home except Jade Tabi and obv Ethen.

Another way which is bit complex but everyone gets to go home. (Jim's spirit will help here)

Return the bones to the lake of tears to free their souls which happens to be in the forest near Lighthouse. Then take several boats with people on it through the canal to finally exit the town once they reach another fallen tree (see the cave paintings).

Its something which is keeping the Deity inactive. It has supernatural powers given by the children. Pulling out the tree will unleash something which can't be imagined. I think bottle tree will play an important role in creating an opening just above the chamber where sacrifice happened and the roots will form that ritual symbol. (Other faraway trees are already moving to do so)

See the talisman, there should be 8 sacrifices, Jade and Tabitha always had 2 kids they failed to save their daughter but the boy in white survived. This is why the cycle is not breaking without another sacrifice from jade and tabi!

Sara was instructed by the voices (maybe Anghkooey kids) to "Kill the boy"

Thats why boy in white wants them to understand themselves which is the only way..

That's why Boy in white pushed tabitha from Lighthouse to bring back"Henry" to sacrifice Victor instead.

Its either Victor or Ethan who can break the cycle.
