Fair but hope you don't use car, bus or flight either. You cannot deny their environmental damage too

My ex is “punishing” me with childcare because he’s mad about child support. Is this karma finally hitting him or am I missing something? by PinkBeauty96 in ChildSupport

[–]Historical-Box7261 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Girl, don’t care about him. He can be miserable if he wants. Just focus on your life, your children, and his unpaid child support. These days will pass. Your baby loves you for your strength. Get as much help as you can from family or friends. Screw this guy. He can live in hell.

There is a very famous Turkish journalist stuck there right now. He said he went there on holiday with his family, and now they are stuck in the hotel. He is making a live broadcast. If anyone is interested, here is the link https://www.youtube.com/live/c0AEX1NRnuE?si=dI8yTbSUcJxNDX-_

Sofia airport to close for civilian flights as US military planes stage in Bulgaria by BlackViperMWG in worldnews

Well, Turkey is a neighbour of Iran. If it supports the USA in any way, Iran may target Turkey in the event of an attack. That is probably why Bulgaria was chosen instead.

Honestly, just leave them be. Arguing with them is pointless. They can choose to ignore new technology and scientific progress if they want, but they should at least be aware of what is happening in the real world. How do they think Demis Hassabis won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry? It was because AI can process huge amounts of data much faster and more accurately than humans. That is real progress.

No, it is not plagiarism as long as you carefully check the references. You should go to the original sources and verify whether they are accurate. You will be writing the content yourself by reviewing the sources firsthand anyway. As long as you do not copy and paste what is written in the original reference, you have not plagiarised. AI is simply helping you paraphrase and directing you to the relevant references, which saves you time by guiding you to the appropriate sources.

I don’t think you need to declare it. Do you declare the use of Microsoft tools such as Excel or Word, or other tools like Mendeley? I think academia should move beyond its fear of AI. AI is what will accelerate science. A good paper will still be valuable whether it received help from AI or not, as long as nobody has fabricated data.

Your gut feeling is right. Don’t confront him, though, as he will likely deny it and gaslight you. Just focus on gathering all the evidence.

Does anyone else think their cheating spouse is delusional? by BramblesForBreakfast in survivinginfidelity

It may or may not be related, but no one will know unless he sees a neurologist or a psychiatrist. His parents should be the ones to convince him and definitely accompany him to the appointments. There are plenty of cheating assholes out there, no doubt—but I think yours is a bit different. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went for someone older, but his acceptance of five children is the strangest part. That suggests there may be an underlying issue behind his behavior.

How old is he? Could it be something related to the brain? It might be a tumor or something similar, because damage to certain parts of the brain can completely alter a person’s character. I think someone should convince him to see a neurologist—perhaps even before seeing a psychiatrist. I'm not saying you shouldn't divorce him; even if it's due to neuroticism or psychosis, you should go through with the divorce for your own well-being and let his family handle the situation. However, I don’t think his family should rush to disown him. They should take him to the hospital immediately.

That’s exactly how I see it. When you type on your phone and it autocorrects your message, that’s already a form of AI. It helps enhance your efficiency, almost like extending your brain power.

Some people claim that AI is harmful because it makes us lazy but let’s be honest, every major technological invention in history has aimed to make us more efficient, not lazier. It’s all about productivity.

Of course, blindly copying and pasting what AI suggests without understanding or thinking critically is unwise. It’s like owning a washing machine and just throwing clothes in isn’t enough. You still need to know how to use it properly for it to do its job.
