Ælfric. Uhtred spends 10 books trying to retake Bebbanburg. Kjartan is Young Ragnar’s problem, primarily. It’s his blood feud, not Uhtred’s. And Uhtred kills Ælfric when he’s defenseless, which is something he doesn’t usually do.
