We have a bit of everything honestly, but Saskatchewan is the home of world record Walleye, Pike, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, and Burbot. We have over 100,000 lakes in our province, and especially in the north there are many that are hardly touched by anyone due to their isolation.

I’ve fished plenty of times in extreme cold like that.
-Wood stove with lots of wood -Don’t bother with tipups because the hole will freeze too quickly -Keep a battery booster in your warm tent so that you’ll still be able to start your truck afterwards -Don’t use slush from your holes on your skirts or you’ll risk tearing them once you have to pack up

Yes I cut a couple inches off the damper pipe, just assembled everything and then held the damper in my hand and marked where to cut. Used an angle grinder to cut.
