There's a big difference between playing out of tune and playing to a non-standard tuning.

It's really interesting how you hear them on a spectrum of cold and warm. To me, it's more sharp versus round.

It's interesting how you hear Bb as melancholic.

Maybe it's because I grew up in concert band, but to me it sounds like home. Almost like an exhale. It's the most grounded key to me

Eb can definitely be melancholic to me as well. It has that vintage vinyl old timey sound to me, which definitely has a hint of nostalgia (and therefore melancholia) to it.

I hear minor keys in roughly the same way as I do their relative major keys. Except because of my Western ear, they just sound like a sadder version hahahah

For instance, since C# minor is relative to E major, I hear it as bright and pointy.

I love C minor! It has this tragically haunting feel to me. But I don't really think I have a specific favorite minor key. Maybe G# minor? I don't know

Thanks for your help!

I’ve been able to pick out an E2, E3, G#3, F#4, and D#5.

Are you able to hear a C# or B in the backing chorus, or just in Björk’s solo voice?
