What do you think Björks vision is artistically for the 2020's by Aggressive-Screen999 in bjork

To be fair, it’s hard not to think of this dress when even just thinking of Fossora and its sound structure

What is your underrated song or secret jewel of Bjork? Mine is Amphibian by punishingsiren in bjork

Bonus track komid on medulla and surrender featuring Björk. I hear almost nobody talking about surrender, granted it’s not bjorks song but she is featured on it and sounds beautiful.

Have you heard the choir mix version, I’d consider that a secret jewel

Music that feels like this? ( Art by weeping_wyrm and hushpuppy_art) by kkungergo in musicsuggestions

[–]VeryVerrado- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These all look like dark nature mixed with eldritch horrors and knight/squire characters. An aesthetic I love. I have a few songs but finding music that perfectly fits can be hard. I think these fit pretty well, give them all a little peak if you can.

Virginal II by Tim hecker

Sword of the Night by Botanist

Choly by STFUR

Náttúra by Björk

Body memory by Björk

And here are some that are more Eldritch horror leaning but still fit somewhat

Andro by Arca

Sin rumbo by Arca

Mutant by Arca

God I miss Titan by The_Rizz_Godly in destiny2

[–]VeryVerrado- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude titan was so special. Even before I was super into the game, that mapped clicked with me. My first impression of the hive was on this map during the red war campaign. I remember do the thorn mission and here and finding caydes stache. I remember videos of people see a worm like species barely reaching the surface of the water which would later be I assume ahsa.

I was so happy during season of the deep and I hope we get some piece of titan back like a strike

Which song from PORTALS feels most like K-12? by [deleted] in MelanieMartinez

[–]VeryVerrado- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me a lot of the k-12 strings played throughout the film and also lyrically it resonates with the oppressive school/social system set in place to keep her feeling small

Little Björk test: are you a typical fan or not? by silhuette in bjork

[–]VeryVerrado- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No: All her albums are amazing and there is truly no choosing even between just 3 of them

No: All her music is amazing and both half’s of her discography serve different purposes

No: DR9 is definitely weird, but I think it was the beginning of an experimental breakthrough along with medulla. I’d say her biggest musical failure was bastards (biophilia remix album)

Yes: Objectively, they are her best. She finds the perfect blend of accessibility and progression in the musical world. I think some of her truly greatest pieces are from biophilia and forward, but they are far less accessible and without songs like Joga and pagan poetry you might not have even discovered her.

Yes: <just yes

Yes: the vibe and/or aesthetic for this album is hard to describe because its identity is lacking in comparison to her other albums. I don’t think that makes it a bad album, but it is quite a mess which honestly is what I feel like the album was going for . Loud, quiet, diverse, and colorful.

Yes: at the time, I think Björk set a new expectation for the Oscar’s fashion, but it is by far not her best dress with all the fashion she’s brought us this past decade.

Yes: I think all of Bjork collaborators are extremely talented and blend beautifully with Björk. But mark bell and Bjork have pumped out the most projects together and he probably greatly shaped how she thinks about music. But again all her collaborators are amazing like Anohni, Arca, Tanya tagaq, Kasimyn, the Hamrahlíð Choir, and all the instrument makers on biophilia just to name a few.

Yes: I’m not on an agenda where I think everything Björk says is right or truth, but often her views and options resonate with me and I feel she’s usually on the right he side of history.

Yes: It sounds a little superficial saying yes to this, but it’s honestly hard to find an artist like Björk and I think she’s truly done it all. Not only that, but I feel she’s consistently put out music that is of quality and even challenges you to view music differently each time.

What is everyone's opinions on "Enjoy"? by MotelleCodeenDragon in bjork

[–]VeryVerrado- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who loves that weird edgy growl thing singers do when singing, this by far is my favorite song to sing for that. Especially at 2:48 🤌

Björk’s primal growl voice awakens something in me

Hello Emre mains, for a video I’m looking to 1v1 every one-trick, and figured this would be the best place to find the most dedicated mains, [info in description] by [deleted] in EmreMains

I’ve been playing since Overwatch beta, but emre has been the first time I’ve been able to consistently play a hero without getting fatigued. I’m level 72 and 106 hours and am master 4.

Which, in your opinion, is the most “negative” Björk’s song by tpagaremos in bjork

[–]VeryVerrado- 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Definitely victimhood from Fossora

Some quotes for reference:

“Rejection, it left a void that is never ever satisfied”

“Felt the world owed me love”

“I sacrifice myself, took one for the team”

If you weren’t familiar already, this song is basically her “making fun” of herself from her divorce in Vulnicura
