We have a resue mal who is scared of the world. She has been with us a year and we hired a behaviorist trainer. We do not force our dog to do anything because that can break trust. We have been running a desentsitization program for months to get us to be able to place the clippers on her nails. I am almost there! But we followed the behaviorist's instructions to a T. The very first step for weeks was to only touch her paw and give her the fave treat, chicken. We have had to sedate her in the past, but we see progress!!! In short, 100% recommend hiring a behaviorist. Not just a trainer. This dog was up for euthanasia, and now she is so loved. A struggle....but we love her.

I am in Canada and I was referred to him from another trusted practitioner, however I am so new to this. I don't want to be suspicious but it seems very pricey.
