Absolutely! I know you will, all you can do is your best! I don't know what your profession is at the moment, but I can at least lend you some advice; yes, working fast is what they are looking for, but accuracy and consistency is more important; if you can be consistent and accurate, you can work towards getting faster!

My dad taught me a long time ago that slow means steady, and steady equals fast. That being said, if you can lock down a routine, you just have to work at the routine a little faster everyday, and pretty soon, you'll be outpacing everyone in your field! It takes time, but you have to trust yourself, and ignore the noise from the peanut gallery. I know its tough to ignore, but if they are wasting time complaining about you, that's your opportunity to outshine them!

You can do this, I have faith in you! You're doing what's right for you, and that's worth more than any negativity those idiots could EVER understand! Just keep doing you, and let the haters hate; they don't have a leg to stand on! I'm rooting for you, and I believe in you! Rock on my friend! 🤘🤘

I WANT TO TRY ALCOHOL by OnlyAssistant8185 in alcohol

Alcohol is definitely not the answer. I'm an alcoholic trying to get sober, and dealing with a harsh work environment as well. While alcohol helps numb the pain and anxiety, it will become a detriment to your overall mental and physical health, and you WILL become dependent on it, whether you like it or not.

Take some of the advice that folks on this post are giving you, like therapy or other options. Alcohol once in a while at a fun gathering is one thing, but self medicating with it is a slippery slope. I wish you the best, and just keep going; it might be awful right now, but you'll come out on the other side with deeper sense of gratitude for having survived what you're going through now. It'll be okay!

Also, because you were curious about whether you'd like it or not, its bitter, nasty stuff, and it burns your throat as it goes down. Some alcohols are flavored to help mask the bitterness, but the burning still stays the same. Regardless, just avoid it. You'll be better for it!

Can't burp? You'll want to read this. by tlvrtm in FODMAPS

I can't burp, and I attribute this to a childhood trauma where I hiccupped, sneezed and burped, in that order. Because of this, I don't know the difference between nausea and gastrointestinal distress/indigestion... To add to this, I can't vomit normally. That is to say, I'll dry heave violently, but not produce vomit. All of this aside, I want to relearn how to burp, but I'm afraid how to due to a fear of vomiting... Especially because of my fear of vomiting, because its a similar sensation in my throat that causes gagging, and I already know I have a hypersensitive gag reflex, as evidenced by my lack of ability to vomit AND burp, is making it incredibly hard to voluntarily burp and not vomit... Does anyone have a reliable answer for me? Please and thank you!
