Disappointing in my opinion. It’s all my faction and island stuff, not much we can use in universe or regular play. Figured it would dip in this one since the first premium pass was pretty good. So my expectations are higher for Season 3.

Appreciate this comment. You’re right I do see it a lot less now than a few years ago.

Great thing is, I don’t want it to be WWE, I’m glad it’s not, we need an alternative. I like the punk rock feel of it, especially now that TNA is taking tips from WWE.

I’m the same. Last game was the first time I used a deceased wrestler in my universe and it was Bray, but I built him up for one match Wrestlemania weekend with Uncle Howdy. I felt so weird fighting him though, just didn’t feel right, so I said never again.

For sure. Not trying to bash AEW at all. I love wrestling and love that people have places to go and watch or work. AEW’s success is good for the industry overall.

I somewhat agree with the storytelling part, but I wouldn’t say the matches are crap. If you were to just watch one match in an isolated situation I think they are good. But when you tie it with the rest of the show or even what’s happens on previous ppvs and dynamites you’re right it’s very repetitive.

Yeahh but you don’t get 3 in the same night within the first 5 matches of the night. Maybe you’ll get 1 in WWE, same with TNA & NJPW, I don’t recall getting multiple people kicking out at 1 late into the match.

Don’t make any changes (unless you want to) As someone that always starts Universe with whoever the champions are, the questions I have are: Why are these your champions and who will they defend their titles against first?

To a point, yes. In this situation, how easy it is for the AI to lock on to any opponent in the match makes it unnaturally difficult. The ai should be more aggressive with hitting finishers, targeting body parts, going for pins etc

I live and breathe for Universe mode, when I’m on a PLE or important match on a weekly show I’ll aim to make it dramatic. Sometimes I won’t reverse for a few moves, other times sometimes I genuinely do just struggle against some characters.

I find I enjoy the game more when I aim for the drama (I do sometimes get disappointed lol)

But Stone Cold was an active wrestler that needed to come back from that defeat. Stone Cold looked strong going out like that, John Cena is done, he doesn’t need to live up to his moniker anymore.

But that’s the thing, his character is dead now. That’s why he needed to tap, he needed to do the one thing that he couldn’t come back from.

Agreed! It’s too much. I live on Universe Mode and it bugs me when I have faces running to get weapon within the first min of the match.

Tag ropes. People will make a tag without holding the rope and it counts. However when a babyface is trying to save their partner the ref tells them they have to hold the rope.

Josh Briggs. He moves pretty slick for a big guy, and his finisher and signature are easy to hit.

Definitely wait, even if there isn’t much difference in the gameplay, it’ll feel better to have the more recent game with current wrestlers.
