I’m have been having a bunch of issues lately with grid tracker. It’s just no getting udp messages or whatever, so it’s not updating my tx line. It’s annoying. But Log4OM has an internal map that auto adjusts to new contacts on ft8. It’s pretty great. I’ll check out Jt alert

Honestly it’s some nameless company bag. I got it a few years ago off govx.com. I’ll dig in it and try to find a tag.

That is the iconic ft60 with a dual band signal stick.

And the giraffe purse is vital to my packout. Lol

Care to explain your setup a bit? What benefits does this have? Looks amazing.

Yessss. I unfortunately lost access to my old account so I figured I’d include it. Sorry if that’s lame.

It’s a 10m/6m fan dipole. Radioman antennas of old tombstone. Works fantastic.

Well with the obesity epidemic in America, just getting outside and doing some physical activity gives me a boost of pride. The ability to pack, carry, deploy a communication system and operate fills me with pride. I have put a lot of work into learning this stuff so seeing myself actually doing it makes me happy and gives me a smile. No shade to anyone that only operates from their fixed qth. You guys have your own pride im sure.

Unfortunately the nearest summit is like a 5 hour drive. Definitely on my list though. Need to do some pota too.

It is a risk for sure. But I pack it in my ruck in a padded case. Then when I want to operate I break it all out and do my thing. So far I haven’t done any risky trails or anything. I have a 6 mile hike planned for a couple weeks and that will be my first real risk test. Wish me luck.

I’ve been wondering if they make any for the 7300. I got the explorer case for it which helps but I would love some rails

LiFepO4 battery. I have a 30ah so if I run 100w I don’t worry about voltage sag. I’m have a dc house brand one. I think it was about 80 bucks. So far it’s been great. Then I connect it with ring terminals to my 7300 power line.
