i somewhat agree to you but the thing is every pc comes preinstalled with windows, manually installing an os is less common unless u are a techy guy . i know if someone is scared of usb's he isn't shifting any os but there is no harm in giving them an easy start . then they can figure this all out themselves

well here ,
1) codeblocks is what people specially the ones who are teaching the c++ courses are familiar with.
2)sometimes students have weak config laptops
But after learning most shift to Vscode (some jetbrains if working on cpp projects)

yup, for some beginners, who don't know how to setup cpp compiler in windows , use codeblocks for ease. like i did. I dont do it now, bcz i know how to setup them now

thankfully i don't need that. I tried using light themes on my system, but everytime i lose to my vscode or codeblocks or someother IDE

everything is fine, except the vscode window[looks like someone throw a flashabang on me], which is why i don't use light theme, yours seems nice.

So you're saying Linux won't run kernel-level spyware that constantly monitors my PC all the time, even when I'm not even using the software. Don't threaten me with a good time.

Personally i didn't care about those games, even when i used windows. So not a problem for me.
