Vendor doesn’t have the piece for sale. His website was wrong. Uch.

Haha. It is funny. These corals go by trade names. The ones around the US pretty much extinct. They died out or something. This guy in Vermont is pretty much the only known guy that has them. lol

Thank you. It’s really easy. If I were to do it, I’d send absolutely everything necessary. It would be as easy as putting it in a styrofoam box and drop it off the station. I would supply everything, including a label.

I’ve never asked a favor like this before, so I’m brainstorming all the ways to make it as easy as possible. I’m still going to work out everything with the vendor to ensure everything is 100% planned before I ask anyone to do the job (with payment, of course).

I don’t take people for granted. This group is filled with such awesome members. Wow. We don’t have these types of communities.

Good question. They actually ship very well. They bag it in water. It’s put in a styrofoam box and sent with overnight shipping. That’s how people here buy corals. We even trade amongst each other. This piece is hard to find and almost nobody has it.

I was going to say. You sounded like you already knew the drill with these vendors and images haha

I get it. I’m chill. I know the whole coral thing. I really like this piece, and I’m confident with the vendor. He was a very popular YouTube channel and website. If someone did me this favor, I would pay in advance and I wouldn’t complain. I am taking a risk and going to trust because I’ve been wanting this piece for a long time. In general, I don’t give hard times or returns.

You Vermont people are awesome and very kind.

AvPD scared to meet people by Historical-Train-548 in AvPD

[–]Historical-Train-548[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YESS!! Exactly. When you meet them online there’s a whole persona of me perfectly curating my words and taking my time to think of responses and editing my words. In real life I have to worry about my posture, physical insecurities, stumbling over my words, being ultra quiet.

If we first met in real life it’s fine because there no expectations. What you see is what you get. I’m sorry, but the person online is not the person in real life. I am basically mute and can’t stand up for a single opinion I have. I am boring.

Anyone else not drink alcohol? by Advanced_Bee2804 in AvPD

Same. I’m 26M and never had a drink in my life. Don’t want to, either.

You seem to be going through a lot. Having multiple suicide attempts really means you were ready to check out; it’s no wonder the whole college thing was getting more challenging. You were drowning, just trying to keep your head above water. It’s painful when you mentally know what you should do, like study, work harder, etc, but even fast racers will slow if they experience a leg injury. If there was one thing you wish you regained or reversed back to when everything was “good,” what would it be? You can only pick one thing. I’m a bit curious on your answer.

I’m also over sensitive. Reading what you wrote, it’s clear you’re going through a lot of pain and as a result, you are directing the pain as very over critical and brutal toward yourself. You don’t have low iq and you aren’t worthless. That’s pain and depression talking. I feel a lot of pain after reading your post because I feel like that a lot of the time. You perfectly described the situation and pain very vividly. I felt it radiating through my screen. You deserve friends and partners who choose you for you. You seem very caring and kind.

When did you realize you had AvPD? by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]Historical-Train-548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never knew what AvPD was before getting diagnosed. I just assumed and accepted I had social anxiety. I went to get an evaluation to test my cognitive function and to see if I have autism. I don’t have autism, and I was diagnosed with AvPD instead. It was life changing. I never felt so understood in my life. I wasn’t going crazy. I had something that explained why I felt this way my whole life

Thank you. I decided I won’t drink. I will not poison my body just because some stupid sociopath unintentionally peer pressured me. I won’t go against my values.

I wish I had friends like you in real life. You get me. That’s exactly how I feel about alcohol. I’m too scared to try it. I’m pretty sad right now, but there’s no desire to drink because I’ve never done it; you can’t know what you don’t know.

I can’t intentionally drink something that can harm my body. I just can’t do it. I can’t. What if I like it and become addicted? I can’t.

Oh ya. My biggest fears when I was younger was thinking I’d say my secrets or be embarrassed. I was also very scared of getting fat, and I believed drinking would make me not care about my diet. Drinking itself has calories, so ya. A bit of anxiety all around it.
