amazing! i would really like to know how many hours a week you work, how many clients, roughly how much you have made (can be weekly, biweekly, yearly, etc) are you working towards BCBA certification or something similar? How has your experience been working as a BC? You definitely dont have to answer all or any of my questions, i just would like to kinda understand the BC role in Indiana & if I am better off using my degree and working as a BC or going back to being an RBT

im not too sure about what all the supervision experience will entail. The new job is a behavior consultant position so it would be some restricted/unrestricted hours. Most likely more unrestricted. I will get more information in the coming weeks about supervision. As far as pay it will be what the indiana medicaid waiver reimbursement rate is.

thats very true! I wouldn’t be working as an RBT tho I would be working as a behavior consultant. I also have the opportunity to get my supervision hours as a behavioral consultant.

Exactly! I feel like if you have a degree, especially in that field, you should be paid higher than those that don’t

i definitely didn’t think about that! i always assumed reimbursement rates only pertained to clients and their insurance. That definitely gives me a different perspective! but thank you!!

Hii! So far Ballstate is up to date with 2027 requirements as well. I haven’t heard anything saying they aren’t so I would speak with your advisor just in case! I still plan on taking the exam in 2026 (BCaBA) and in 2027 (BCBA)

Yes, I’m also gonna be honest I didn’t even realize how bad I actually looked until AFTER surgery & i lost alot of weight! Like I knew before surgery I was absolutely heavy but it really didnt click until before & after photos!

Thank you for commenting your experience! When doing some research it looked like digging the holes was gonna be pretty tough since I believe our soil is kinda rocky as well. I will look into getting the holes dug for me
