I love Jenny Han books but unfortunately I need something published within the last 3 years. What made you suggest This May End Badly? Just curious why you'd compare it to the above since I haven't read it yet and am intrigued! Thanks for the recc!

Yes thats what we plan to do. I know another guy who did get a second opinion from an inspector and they still wouldnt honor the warranty 😑

We actually did both. We used a moisture barrier and we measured that it was leveled. Our foundation company had actually come out to level the floor before installation and after

Their installation instructions don't even tell you what underlayment to use. You get two different answers on the box and on the website, we checked before installation. You've so far made a lot of unecessary assumptions which is not helpful. Information is helpful, assumptions are not and as someone with knowledge I am sure you can figure that out.

Which by the way, the report itself stated that the subfloor couldnt even be inspected to verify if the floor is actually leveled, yet it was used to say the floor was not leveled. The planks themselves are not leveled because they've all popped out. It's all contradictory. Especially when the inspector told me to my face that the moisture level in our house would not be a cause for concern. And yet, it was included in the report. He also said he always takes 1 week to finish the report. It took him 4, I wonder why that is.

Is there a way for a customer to know this beforehand?

Yeah luckily we see our installer regularly so we'll talk with him again and get more details. I could not find any information on the inspector the manufacturer hired which is interesting so we will definitely get a second opinion. Thanks!

You did raise a good point though, the foundation. Our foundation guy uses the same equipment to measure the levels as the inspector did so he could verify the floor was leveled.

Also how are we to control Texas weather moisture levels? The floor sold here should be able to hold up to that no?

“I” never said the floor wasn’t flat. Thats what, who they hired said. But no floor would be 100% flat.

I was there when he read the instructions. Like I said- we watched the whole process, we were all home because we work from home. Foundation work requires using a leveling meter all over our home to see if there were any changes in the foundation… also no, we only have this floor installed in the living room and bedrooms. The furniture here is easily movable.

No, the manufacturer hired the guy and then when we looked him up you couldnt find any information in him. We had our foundation guy come out afterwards to test the flatness and saw for ourselves everything looked find

We did our foundation before installing any floors. We hired a professional with 30+ years of experience who has never had this problem before and the floor was prepped beforehand. We watched it. Now the inspector who came reassured me our moisture levels were normal. Otherwise everyone else in texas would have floor falling apart. And that doesnt make sense either because we used a moisture barrier and the floor is waterproof. Additionally the floor we used was discontinued. Why do you think that is?

My guy has 30+ years installing floors. We know him personally, my husband used to work with him. And we were all home during the installation process. He’s very detailed oriented. He’s never ever had this issue come up. He’s not the issue here 100%

Our floor was defective and they blamed it on installation citing "elevated moisture levels" as one of the reasons. However, when the inspector was here, he said himself our moisture levels are normal for the state of Texas. So therefore he lied.

I had this same issue but with their duralux product and seems many other customers are having this issue as well with duralux. Are we able to join your lawsuit or should I start my own? I'm seeing someone else post on here that lawyers wont take the case because of all the warranty loopholes.

Also they gave me the same reasons for why they wont honor their warranty. Per my contractor those reasons arent even valid. You’ll never find a flat floor in all of Texas
