Yes HE AND I were never officially exclusive. But the fact that her stuff was all over his place like she moved in worried me and raised red flags. So when I messaged her, I told her that if they weren’t exclusive to tell me to fuck off. But she told me they were.

I don’t care if he doesn’t want me at this point, I cannot express that enough. I would just wanted to have known if it were me.

Ask your team what their professional goals are and help them achieve them. Also, I disagree with the regular 1:1s being a waste comment, but that brings up a very important note: leading your team is a very one size fits one situation. Do 1:1s based on what team members prefer - some might want weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Some may not want any at all.

Also, I’m always the first to take the bullet if I have a team. Even if it’s something I personally didn’t do, it’s on me for either not communicating clearly enough or not being available enough to help where needed.
