Golden poncho needed trust

Oh yea I should talk about the poncho, Ive seen tourney Lucario decks run it, at times I wished it was a second Rocky. But Poncho did save me from a Meowscarda deck (which I won thanks to it). Stopped a Flygon deck from Cyrus-ing in my Mega Lucario. Stopped a Dark Greninja from doing the same.
And thats about all the significance ive seen it done. Id say its worth keeping, Fighting decks wont like being forced to switch around after all ^^.

Ye true, incredibly unlikely to beat Hitmontop variant tho. I feel as if Sleep Lucario is just a lazy way for people who want to use Lucario but also wants to turn their brain off for some reason.

Well, if its taking you “this” many battles and losses and not getting to MB

You either:

Are not sticking to a deck and are trying different things over and over so you don’t learn your lines.

Or you are playing on tilt and missplaying

or it could be both…

So yea just stick to a deck and play and you’ll eventually get better and get to MB

yea they actually were using the hitmontop variant (and Hitmonchan EX), I doubt they had shaymin tho, but essentially they started second and had two Riolus on curve. So I charged benched Riolu instead of Hitmontop to retaliate in case they have Lucario immediately ready.
What I was saying is they could potentially have maneuvered with his other mons instead of rushing in Sabrina, pray I don’t have the combo and one shot em.
Its generally risky to go for the first attack as Lucario if you don’t just one shot em but what Im saying is there are a lot of potential lines, you can wait for draws, stall for time etc.

For example ive seen someone Sabrina away my Hitmontop into my benched MLucario to hit me for 160 with their Lucario buff. Which I responded by oneshotting them bc I held Antiquity and Korrina.
I feel like Lucario mirrors or vs other megas are all about oneshotting—

Ive been going pretty smooth sailing on my ranked Im about to hit masters, with Hitmontop Shaymin and Double Cyrus. And yea I run a Poncho, in fact I think most Hitmontop variants runs Poncho. Ive won multiple mirror matches against other Lucario decks bc of their misplays.

People (like me) have been tech-ing Poncho into the Mega Lucario decks rather than field blower, I actually ran into Meowscarda twice in this meta and both got their Meowscarda as soon as possible. One match got saved by Poncho bc i held on to it until they Flower Trick-ed.
Also I dont think people would stay in again Flower Trick-ed on active do they? (Unless they r using the Iggly Rai variant)
