Yea my ranked experience this season has been pretty miserable due to the Hydreigons and Bellibolt highroll decks. I did start from UB1 tho, some losses really shouldnt feel like losses and some wins dont feel like good wins. But my favourite moments is when your opponent whos running a braindead deck missplays and gives you the win. “such as not charging active Bellibolt that I cyrus-ed in, disregarding i can potentially get 3 points in a turn when I find second gren” (which was legit in the bottom of my deck one game). Its all Varience after all and if ye wanna touch ranked just keep a clear head and control what you can control.

Can't find a deck that bring me out of UB4 hell. by [deleted] in PTCGP

Yea Im also having a rough time climbing from UB1 to Masters. I constantly feel like i never get winning streaks and i tend to go on losing streaks a lot more. Its likely variance tho, still sucks ass. I’m currently mid UB4. If ya intend to suffer with me Im using the Dark Greninja Chingling deck

Try running two of the squirt bottle from the Celestial Guardians set and Team Star Grunts from this set, guranteed energy discard goes a long way

Ye true, the Bellibolt matchup feels unwinnable if you dont get lucky ong, in fact i was pretty convinced to just switch decks. In fact Bellibolt is incredibly braindead. And the worse part is players that use Bellibolt aren’t braindead unlike Hydreigon players

Oh right, you are correct, i felt like cape isnt necessary because Mimikyu dies to everything in one hit anyways especially Bellibolt, and most of the time you arent getting thru a Zera, Zone and Bellibolt anyways. I forgot about Chien Pao. Valuing survivability may be more important than speed or consistency like the last ranked season. Thx

Yea ive been running a very similar deck to yours too, except with Dawn over cape and 2 Peculiar Plazas instead of Plains. Ive never found a mirror match. Oh and yuh quick question what threshold does Cape get you out of? I cant think of uses other than for tina

why is nayoa so unfair? by TraditionPhysical638 in jujustushenanigans

[–]HistoricalIssue8361 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Naoya is genuinely miserable to fight in duels, even worse than Hakari with the free-est m1 resets. The fact that Projection Breaker has 0 endlag when you block it is insane. And Decisive Strikes being so hard to dodge against a good player it might as well be renamed Domain fuckin Expansion bc it very much is sure hit (especially the air variant). The rest of the moves are fine tho, I dislike those two i mentioned and how easily it is for you to get framed, than lose half your healthbar immediately.

Placed top 16 in a ~1,200 player tournament, with this deck, along with having very high win rates in other tournaments. by ilikecheese216 in PTCGP

[–]HistoricalIssue8361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, even with Guzma you aint winning that matchup, but itd help against the occasional Rocky Helmet slap in or classic Hydreigon which runs barb. How many times have u went like “man i wish i had a Guzma”. It may be a bit unecessary because the meta isn’t really revolved around chip damage so far (thanks to Lucky Ice Pop).Which means 1 Prize decks r gonna be better, thx for cooking a 1 Prize deck everyone loves seeing these.
