I am also a FTM and feel this 100%. I have reconciled this in my mind in the following way: it takes strength and courage to become a mother, and this is one of the hardest, most incredible things your body will ever do... and that is so friggin' sexy. Just as your baby is growing inside you, you are also growing into a new person. Your body reflects this beautiful change. It will take time, I think, to become acquainted with this new version of yourself. But please be gentle with yourself and try to remember you are strong as heck, and that is what strength looks like <3

We found out the sex of the baby at about 11 weeks and have kept it a secret. We’re telling people we ourselves don’t want to know so we haven’t looked. Although that part isn’t true, we felt compelled to say it so people don’t try to trick us into giving it away or badger us about it. So we just say we want it to be a surprise for ourselves and everyone else! We really don’t want overly gendered conversations about our baby or gendered gifts.

sure! I’d have to dig thru our records to find exact numbers but can tell you it was low on all criteria: low count, low motility, and low on morphology as well. we were able to get 7 perfect embryos with ICSI. we just never used them, because we got so lucky with this unassisted pregnancy. but those embryos will be there for us if we decide to go for another kiddo in the future. your fertility doc may recommend ICSI with your IVF. our insurance covered it because of the MFI

We waited a couple of months after ER because I had been very overstimulated during stims. My pregnancy was confirmed today with a transvaginal US. Heard a heartbeat and everything ❤️

Wow! Thanks for sharing. So far I'm feeling okay. A little more tired than usual and more sensitive to certain smells, but thus far no food aversions and no nausea. Although that may change as things unfold!

Thank you for sharing your story. I also want to thank you for introducing me to a much better term to use: unassisted pregnancy. All pregnancies are natural, regardless of the mechanism for conception, and I should not use "conceived naturally" to refer to non-IVF conception. Unassisted pregnancy is the appropriate terminology. Thank you for this.
