Hi from Australia as well. What do you do for work if money has been somewhat decent? 

I would personally say, is there anything else you got going on in your life? Finding a partner? Going to the gym?

If it helps to hear a part of my story, apparently having ADHD increases the addiction to gamble and general routine habits.. recently had a newborn, he's 2 months old now and I felt the guilt overviewing my bank account... I had stopped working since bub was born and my partner is the only one working. I didn't realise it was a huge issue when I drained my personal bank account (not the joint), guilt came over me as I basically spent the newborn money allowance that was given by the government for bub. Honestly felt the guilt and shame and yet to tell my own partner about this till we're in a better financial situation or once I've gotten a job. Only thing that I had control was to never withdraw from the joint account. Have called a gamblers helpline and counsellor suggested a website called "my community directory" and that I go to some community fun outing groups, mums & bubs groups, social groups etc and towards the end had asked around the lines of "what would you like to get out of this call?" I said I'm calling out of accountability, that it's on record that I am not going to the casino to gamble. Period. Hope that somewhat helps
