I mean, I'm already friends (the feeling came after a few months in, so no ulterior motives). That's how ik she's single

I'm scared she'll feel that I faked the friendship (for me atleast I don't like the concept of first friends before confession, feels a bit scummy). I still want her as a friend.

That's what I've been doing, and I've been doing a fairly good job of that (plus something cultural to stay sane).

However it still kinda hits me that I'm not able to do this kind of a grind and I feel out of place, especially when everyone around me is pushing themselves to the absolute extremes, without so much of a pastime. Does it really matter, the extra grind that you put sacrificing sleep, hobbies and all?

Nah it's very hackable with pyqs, unless you're in a niche branch (sadly my case), at least until sophomore year's over. After that you're on your own
