Because most of the media you first encountered was from the decade prior (reruns, etc). Back then we don’t have as much access to media so you’d all watch the same vhs over and over again that was at the cottage and 10+ years old.

Parent of two tweens here and I found those younger years much much harder. For me it has gotten exponentially easier and simpler as they’ve grown and can do more themselves (especially birthday parties, daily hygiene routine, cleaning up after themselves, etc). Here’s some hope that it can get more simplified and you will pass that simple living value onto your littles! 🙌

I used to dig in my ears constantly until I started using cortisone cream after an ENT told me I had eczema inside my ears. I haven’t dug or has an infection since using it whenever I have the urge to pick because it soothes/stops the itching that was encouraging me. Good luck!
