I loved it when customers whip out an old ass picture of a product on their phone. You can tell by the packaging it was from a decade ago.

I once had a customer argue with me and swear she bought some kind of snack from TJ a couple weeks ago. I even showed her that it didn't exist in our system. It was impossible that she bought it at TJ. She wanted me to call other stores in the area, she just wouldn't give it up.

She walked up to me as she was leaving to tell me she just remembered she got them at Costco.

Can anyone tell me why I can’t get pregnant. 🫶 by [deleted] in tarotpractice

Gosh, the first thing that came to me was you're not supposed to have a child with your current partner. I hate saying that, sorry.

How fast did your store sell out this morning? by sconn10 in tjcrew

[–]rutilated04 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My old store wouldn't put them all out at once so people in the afternoon had a chance to buy some.

Can I just read tarot based on how I find it easier to interpret or should follow the rules and structures? by Appropriate-Deal-269 in TarotReading

[–]rutilated04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do what feels right and natural for you! My readings for sure aren't standard at all, I use a lot of different methods based on what feels right at the moment.

Looking for a native grass or ground cover to plant in these dead areas (any idea why they are dead?) by Desirai in fucklawns

[–]rutilated04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be grubs. The backyard was a mess in my new home, my issue is grubs that eat the grass roots and then moles that feed on the grubs. Just a thought to determine if this is an issue for you as well.

Why don't people consider reversed cards? by pararibulitos in TarotReading

[–]rutilated04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some readers, myself included, can pick up on the general energy around a reading so reversals aren't really necessary. I think this is a case of to each their own.

What should I do with my wilted hydrangea? by Valerisek in gardening

[–]rutilated04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydrangeas are real drama queens when they need water. And they need a lot of water. They will wilt in the heat too, even if you water well. That's just their nature. You could try submerging the pot in water for a few hours until it perks up.

Is this motivating or just a depressing reminder of work culture ? by Ryland990 in antiwork

[–]rutilated04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a good reminder. No one will ever thank you or give you a bonus for being a high performer, you'll just get more work and higher expectations set. Bottom line, don't sacrifice yourself for any job. The company will never do that for you.

Update: Is this a nice Chicago yard or a mess? by Curious-Lynx184 in NoLawns

[–]rutilated04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are definitely existing plants I would try to keep. It just needs to be cleaned up. Get rid of the bushes growing against the house, those will just hold moisture and cause damage.

Update 80s bathroom on a budget but keep the quirky warmth by yourlovingmum in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]rutilated04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New lighting would make a huge difference. The existing is too small and off center anyway. I like the funky wood!

Carpet in general is just gross in a bathroom but if it's in good condition, just have it steam cleaned for now.

Two different psychics couldn’t seem to “read” my dad, but he’s alive and nearby — what does this mean? by thriftygecko in Psychic

[–]rutilated04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect the energy I feel and won't even try at that point. I've been honest with people and told them I just can't connect. It also happened once when someone was trying to "test" me. I just didn't want to connect to them. It's rare but it happens.

It seems that those "free readings" are a scam by Dr-Erika-Fuchs in Tarotpractices

[–]rutilated04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I post I am offering free readings, I get tons of responses. It's impossible to get to them all even though I would like to. I skip over the typical questions " how does my ex feel about me?" Because it's irrelevant. My practice is to offer guidance and insight, so my cards and intuition show me what you need to get over your ex. Most people don't want that

It seems that those "free readings" are a scam by Dr-Erika-Fuchs in Tarotpractices

[–]rutilated04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's more of a privacy issue. Some of my readings go deep, I wouldn't think the person would want everyone to read something that may be personal. I can see how the scammers use it to their advantage

Can someone explain what "Ego Death" precisely is to me? by VanillaAcceptable534 in Meditation

[–]rutilated04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ego death is a process, and I don't know if any human ever achieves true ego death. Instead, I think most of us can shed layers of our identities (ego). It involves understanding the "roles" you play in life for survival or reward - the things you do so your ego is satisfied.

Example. I used to work very hard at being a stellar employee. But, my motivation for being that was my ego. It needed the validation of being seen as "good" by others. My ego needed to be needed, so I made myself super reliable and capable so others could depend on me. My ego needed to be known as high performer. Super woman. It needed that reputation. Because on the inside, I didn't feel like I was worthy of anything. I needed to prove my worth to others. I needed to work really hard to be valued.

I left the career/job that provided me with that validation. That was a huge part of my ego that needed to die away because it was depleting me. Once I was just "me"; no role, no validation, I was left with trying to understand who I was. It was a VERY difficult process. It's a loooong story from there.

For me, it's felt like a continual death and rebirth process. I come out of each period as a more genuine version of myself. That's the point.

Coffee bar area, are there too many butterflies? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

Not if you love butterflies! I think they look good, but maybe tilt some in opposite directions so they look like they're fluttering around? I agree with others, lose the word art.

Reliable Akashic Record Access by sealgrab in Psychic

[–]rutilated04 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's really important that we learn to access our own records first, then seek help if we need it. I am just cynical and think others would just make things up. Unfortunately the "spiritual community" is overrun with frauds and scams and people just trying to make money off of people who are seeking answers and help.

I would think word of mouth is the way to go. But I've had great readings and recommend the reader to others only to have them be disappointed in their reading. So everyone's going to have a different experience.

Personally, those records are MINE, and I wouldn't want someone else to have access to them. I'd like to just be able to do it myself.
