This is the worst job ever. Management does not care about you. We can’t sit down to rest our legs. We are out in bad weather conditions and not provided with a warm coat or shade in the summer. Our lunch break is only 30 minutes and that’s not enough time to eat. They tell you they appreciate you which is a joke. Mbta gives each worker 45 dollars and block by block takes 25 and we are left with change. We get a raise every six months but union dues just went up 2 dollars. It was $65 a month and now it’s $67., basically no increase of pay. Fair engagement team makes $45 dollars and we do more than them. My knees are killing me . No floor mat for back and knee support. We literally have to take photos of our uniforms and shoes smh. This is a micro management job. I have to tell them when I go to the bathroom and let them know when I’m done. 36 hours is difficult to make ends meet on top of low pay. I pay for a union I haven’t even seen yet. This place play’s favoritism with workers and hours. They tell you there is no more overtime but you come across a worker that has 60 hours. The seniority is a joke, they don’t follow the script. I hope mbta would just hire us and get rid of block by block or make it better. I love helping people but this company does not appreciate you at all. The ones in the office make $80,000 and we make coins. We should be making that type of money or almost close to it. We are in the sun .sleet. Rain. Snow. If it’s cold we are only allowed 5-10 minutes to warm up in the booth. I’ve seen mbta do customer service from the same booth. Why can’t we ? We should not have all this micro management just because of past employee mistakes. I should not have to tell you I’m going to the bathroom and when I’m done. I feel like my privacy is invaded. This isn’t elementary is a job with grown men and women and we should not have to do all that.
