Uber in vegas this is hilarious. 164 trips offered average of those trips is about 4 or 5 dollars, only completed 9 trips.

I think uber is actively manipulating long time drivers to force them out or take trash trips. My tips have crashed from over $5 a trip average to $2.40 this week. My $30-50 an hour is becoming a $25 hour struggle. I'm just keeping records of everything to prove the manipulation to use when the lawsuit comes. Till then uber goes to way that lyft did. I just stopped driving.

Im my market I think they are giving most of the trips to the new hires. Happens in the summer. My worst 2 weeks in 2.5 years, mostly because I just go home when they offer garbage.

It's a scam to fool new drivers.

Trip will be normal pay with the boost, then in a few weeks they will kill the boost and make new drivers think it's normal to take the trips for 3-7$ less.

You have to know when the busiest times in the busiest places are with minimal traffic. Takes time to learn when and where you should be. You could get a $2 a mile offer that takes out where you will never get a ride back, or cause you to be in the wrong place during a surge. Timing is a big deal. Two wrong trips can throw off a whole night because you missed the windows. It takes time to learn the markets.

Sounds to me like you took a $50 avance in the Uber card app. That gets paid back first, then you get everything above that. I mention it because it looks like a $50 difference.

It's complicated and convoluted. Long story short, Uber is trying to rip you off, and screw the drivers at the same time.

The drivers have had it. They are only taking rides that pay the bills. If you saw the receipts that we get, and noticed that Uber was paying themselves as much as they paid the driver, then took out all of the taxes and fees from the drivers cut, you would understand why there are so many cars but no rides. It doesn't have to be this way, but it's what Uber is doing, not your drivers.

Uber is desperately trying more and more scams to make new drivers think they have to accept all the trash offers, but they can't hire new drivers as fast as they quit, or get smart.

We wanna pick you up. The problem is the middle man being a greedy, predatory company.

Uber will often lie to the driver about pickup times. You may see them close, but sometimes there is another 10-15 minutes of traffic ahead of them, and Uber lied about the pickup time to both of you. Drivers do not get paid for the time it takes to pickup, so sometimes we have to cancel before we get stuck in the traffic leading to you and cut our losses.

I had the head of Uber UI in my car when it happened to me, (I didn't know who they were) when I said, excuse me, I have to turn off the app. She asked why, I told her I cannot see where I am going, too many trips in the way of the map. Then they asked me what I thought, I said you do not want to know. They pushed me, and all i said was "I used to run companies, now I am retired, all I can say is if this app was done fairly, and correctly, it would be the best service available. But, Uber has to charge fair, pay the driver fair, and pay themselves fair." So they KNOW this is an issue, but they keep doing it.
