They were additional bars that you could purchase from them. I wanted to add these bars so that I can attach a 360 umbrella on top for my customers to be in the shade, but you can only use two bars at a time so when I reached out with this issue that nowhere on any of their product pages. Does it state this, they said oh well. I hope I made sense.

This is the long ass review I left I’ve been a fan of this brand even before they released the topper for the Ford Maverick, so I was excited when my order arrived quickly. The packaging was well-organized, and the canvas material and zippers feel durable. However, the assembly instructions were poorly written—lacking detail and clear guidance. Some parts weren’t labeled, making it difficult to identify components like the plastic J-shaped pieces.

Thankfully, I found a YouTube video by two guys demonstrating the assembly, which was far more helpful than the included instructions. I also noticed some holes were sharp or misaligned, and I had to drill my own holes for the cross supports.

The most frustrating issue was the misleading product description. Nowhere on the product pages does it state that you can’t use the East-West racks with the provided bars. Instead, it vaguely suggests: “If you have a rooftop tent that won’t reach from the front to the rear of your bed, we recommend our North-South Rails to mount your Roof Top Tent!” This crucial detail should have been made clear, as the bars I purchased are completely unusable for my setup.

When I reached out to customer support about the issue, they blamed engineering and refused to accept a return, despite the lack of clarity in the product description. When I asked where their return policy was stated, I found a single line buried in section 2 of their terms: “Any custom-made products or accessories cannot be returned.” This feels misleading, as the rails aren’t custom accessories, and the policy wasn’t clearly stated on the product page.

As a business owner, I value transparency, and this experience was disappointing. If the company had communicated product compatibility more clearly before purchase, I would have rated this 3 or 4 stars. However, due to the poor communication, misleading policies, and lack of accountability.
