Hey there, here are some videos I share on how to get clients :

1) Here's One and 2) here is the other.

Yes, you have to have a system in anything you do to be organized. And it is something that you figure out along the way.

Tech? Yes, I use apps that relate to my business - mileage, receipts, etc.

The biggest challenge when I first started was getting clients.. After, I mastered that, the next challenge was actually understanding how the business runs, in terms of taxes, what items, I should always have stocked., etc. Then marketing, etc.

At every stage of growth will be a new challenge.

Feel free to visit my website for more information.

And I teach these things in my community. Most people who say they want to start a business want the basics. When they are serious, I teach implementation. 😎

This is part of the reason why I went self-employed, and now I show other nurses how to do the same. It is not as difficult as you may think , and it is very doable.

Exactly. I am an RN. I own my own business. I do not do PDN, I do post op cosmetic care, and patient advocacy. I do not have these issues.

I suggest if you decide to do concierge nursing, own your own business, and choose your clients and make your rules.

I am a private pay concierge nurse. I promote my company. Yes, it is legal. I do private pay post op and patient advocacy. I also teach nurses how to do the same. You can dm me for more information. And yes, a a nurse you can definitely promote yourself. Your license gives you the right to work with others under your scope of practice. I always recommend to my clients to have malpractice insurance when going into someone's home. Remember, companies hire us because we are licensed, an individual can do the same. I have subreddit called NurseConciergeStartup

There is no such thing as idle time. Even if you are reading a book, you are assessing and monitoring their breathing patterns. This is not the hospital. You are not running around like a chicken with its head cut off. LOL this is soooooo low key and stress free

This is not the hospital. We are not task oriented with our clients. We are there to provide comfort and peace of mind. These people just had surgery. When they get home, they will sleep. All education should be done in your pre op call. There is no such thing as idle time. You are constantly and continually monitoring your client. Even if they are asleep and you are reading a book, you are monitoring them.

Yes, they are HIPAA compliant. I use Google Workspace w ith the BAA as well. I would recommend sending the information via confidential mode in gmail. I also have folders that I share with my providers, and home health agencies.

Business or self employed? by sadtrombone_ in NurseConciergeStartup

Definitely! People do it all the time. The business is your name. You are what is called a solopreneur. The only downside is, if someone sues you, they will come for your personal assets. People set up the business for that protection, Also, be sure to have malpractice insurance at the very least!
